Even when you became friends/lover with Jack she still gave you vibe that she would rather kick your a$$ rather then get all "touchy soft weak feelings"

uhhhh what?  Her romance scene and the converstion before is nothing but "touchy soft weak feelings"

All this talk about how we misunderstand Sera, how she fights for "little people", how she hates people looking down on others. Do you know who gets screwed the most in war? "Little people." Gaspard getting power means war and invasion to expand the empire. Gaspard won't care about the injustices experienced by peasants and elves. Celene or Briala may be conniving, but Celene brings about culture and tries to improve living standards for commoners. Briala cares about the city elves.

I think Sera has difficulty in grasping the reality. Her heart is in the right place, but her actions suggest otherwise. I don't hate Sera. I just have more problem with liking someone who's claiming to fight for one thing but supports the opposide side of that thing.

lol I never said she did.

I said she gave you vibe that she would kill Shepard for no reason, simply because she was bored. With this I stated that Jack is true psycho that enjoys violence, that enjoys chaos and she would gladly kill first person she sees just because of her lust for violence.Even when you became friends/lover with Jack she still gave you vibe that she would rather kick your a$$ rather then get all "touchy soft weak feelings"

I suggest that you read about what the social psychologist Erving Goffman called a "front". I believe you can read about it in an excellent book Goffman wrote entitled, "The Presentation of Self in Every Day Life". (should be able to find it on google books for free)

I didn't dismiss anything, Sera did. I bring this up because thier is just as much proof for ether of them to be true. But can she even consider that SHE might have been the one who was wrong this entire time? Not a chance!

Also if she hates the Dalish because of a supeiorty complex she believes them to have against city elves, why hate and criticize elvan religion, does she question her belief in the maker even though those arrogent nobles also believe in the maker? Nope, not at all.

I'd recommend delving a little deeper into her character. The way she clings to her religious beliefs is related to her deep seated existential dread. Jellobell has a great post on the subject on page 2 of this thread and my post on it is on that page as well.

I think she gives approval for supporting Celene as well, doesn't she? The only one she genuinely dislikes is Briala. I don't think Sera thought that far ahead, she just wants someone on the throne so the Civil War will end.

Yeah I chose to save Celene and Sera approves of that as well. She says straight up that they're all liars.

He just killed one of her contacts right in front of her with all the casual disregard of exactly the type of noble the Sera hates the most, the type that thinks nothing of letting commoners suffer if it gets him what he wants. Then he has the nerve to suggests that it's her fault because his servants contacted her to do something about him in the first place.

My sympathy is near zero.

I don't care that she killed him, it's just the extreme way that she did it that makes her come across as unstable. Killing someone by ramming your knee into their face over and over again is seriously messed up.

To all people saying Sera is "New Jack" I don't get that part at all!Jack was too crazy and psychotic, enough crazy to even kill Shepard for no reason out of the act of her craziness...Sera is childish yes,she is pretty much like one big 5 year old trapped in body of adult woman...but "Jack Crazy"?Does Sera give you vibe as Jack that she would kill first person she sees simply because of boredom...because she loves seeing dead faces that ain't her own...because I don't know "Why the f*ck not?"?Does Sera give you any of these vibes? No.So how is she "New Jack" and "crazy-psycho" again?

Sera is crazy,irritating,annoying,"close-minded",rude(whatever else she is in your books)...but like every little kid also is,Sera is just too much immature. That is what kind of crazy Sera is.

I'll give Sera one positive over Jack, at least she never attacked another companion.

Sera approves because Celene is "good looking". :P

But yep, she does say they're liars.

So Sera approves of either Celene or Gaspard, but not Briala...who wants to help the City Elves, the littlest people of them all? Okay.

Sera and Cassandra are easily my favorite to bring to the ball because of their insight on the whole affair. Admittedly, I laughed when Sera gave that guy a prank name to announce.

Except Briala would step over some of them to advance her position.

Allow me to repost something I wrote earlier:

She sees Briala as an aristocrat just like the rest, she was lover to an empress and played the game, no doubt sacrificing pawns along the way. If anything, that she's now going around effectively saying "But wait I'm just like you, look at my ears!" makes Sera dislike her even more.

Honestly Celene, Gaspard, and Briala are pretty scummy. I just don't see why she'd approve of the first two and not the latter.

I didn't get that vibe when I romanced her. She was surprisingly very soft-hearted. If she did kick a romanced Shepard's ass, she would bang him silly and give him a tattoo later. lol!

Approving of Celene and Gaspard is Sera approving the end of the Civil War. Briala is a separate matter.

I don't like her much, and it took me awhile to understand what she was saying, but I like what she brings out in the other characters via banters (even if it's just annoyance, haha). And she is one of the few companions who notices when I romance someone. I appreciate that. "Cully-wully." :P

My cousin plays the game and says that she approves if you can get all three to agree to a truce, but they will cause more civil wars later :o  I did not choose that option, so I don't know. I only care if a person is consistent with their ideas and choices. Sera is difficult because she's not consistent.

I can see that in her character but it's her stubborn nature which makes her incompatible with any character I might play, though admittly I almost always go with an elf. If I felt like my Dalish elf had a chance to sway Sera's veiws I might reconsider befriending her character, but even if you turn out to be nothing like what she expects a Dalish to be she still veiws all Dalish the same, I would say the same is true of magic even if your a mage.

I'd be perfectly fine with her beliving in the maker, supporting the little people, holding fast with her beliefs if I felt like you had some kind of impact on her. As it is the only way to get along with her is to just agree with everything she wants you to and let her ignore reality. Even some of the common folk recosider thier opinions on elves if your Herald is elvan. I feel that by the end of the game Sera still hates nobles and the dalish just as much as she did before you met her, even though your character is living proof to the contrary.
