Actually I think I have far more proof that it was other forces at work than the maker why you ask? Solas, he has been helping and physically guiding you right from the start.

Also I like how divine intervention only seems to apply to the maker. As if all the other possible gods would not also look out for thier people and be able to guide them in the same matter, yet when more evidence appears that it was likely the elvan pantheon shaping events more than anything else everyone refutes it, the work of demons I tell you!

Also was it the maker who saved our butts in the fifth blight or was it an old elvan goddess who rescued two wardens who went on to defeat the arch demon, right I'm sure the maker made her do it.

Can you document the Goddess claim, or is that your assumption based on the end cutscene? What I can prove, by the end cutscene, is that Solas created the problem we're dealing with by giving Cory the orb. Of course he knew what was going on, and knew how to advise you, he created the problem. As an interesting aside, do you know that Solas isn't also possessed, Flemmeth style?

This is all very simple.Sera is not liked because she is unlikable, worsened by the fact that she is unkillable.People have hated for less.
She is not objectively funny, many people don't like her type of simple humor.
She is rude at times. She called the inquisitor stupid.
Some people have problems with her morality.
She is not very easy on the eyes(that's usually something to fall back on)
She is not intelligent

All of these things tend to net dissapproval,no matter how justified.

This is most likely what the writer intended.

Get over it

I don't know what people who defend her are even trying to accomplish.LOL

I don't know, the same thing you're trying to accomplish by "calling us out" for it? Is there a point to that other than to troll?

How do we know the maker isn't a demon or that andraste wasn't a nutjob who made up a whole religion. Why am I to prove both Flemeth is Mythal and Solas is Fen'Harel while you prove nothing? Certainly weather most of it is wrong, the elvan pantheon has shown more evidence that supports it than the chantry has for the maker. The only thing the chantry has to go on is a possible madwomen who could have also been posessed by a demon rallied an army against Tevinter and failed. Then she was made a holy prophet and those today still cling to her story, and use it's power over people to shape the world.

Because I've already stated that I don't know, but you're claiming that you do?

Most people think she's ugly and annoying (her accent and her laugh) but I like Sera. Wish I could romance her.

But sadly the only quality time I spend with Sera is roof time...

It's funny, I saw a comment earlier in the thread where a person said that arrogance and rudeness is just unlikable. Then I thought about all the extremely popular male characters that fall under that. Zevran, Dorian, Oghren,

Really the problem is her gender combined with behaviors people think women should never have. Humble, polite, soft and quiet are much more desirable traits in women, while men like this are perceived as weak.

This might come off as seeming true in my case, because generally I don't talk about male characters I dislike at all, and only bring up Sera due to my frustration with her romance issues.

To be honest, I have no problems at all with her being generally immature and goofy; all that is tolerable. My problems lie elsewhere.

A more important question is:  Why do people care what characters I hate?

Note:  I don't hate any of the DA:I characters like I've disliked some very strongly in the past (eyeballs Alistair).

Well then you might be on the wrong forum.  Getting involved in each others preferences is kind of a pastime here

How do you figure? So because someone in the Chantry in Kirkwall saw Justice, should they change their religious beliefs? We have absolutely 0 proof that Mythal is anything more than Justice. Can she exist outside the Fade w/out possessing someone? We have been presented with nothing that should be Faith shattering for anyone that really has Faith in their religion, except, of course, for about 90% of everything the Dalish believe makes them superior to other elves. I bet that's going to be a fun story to bring back to the clan, eh? That's really the only belief structure in the whole game that's going to be hit. Seeing a bunch of magic at work? Sorry, were there no mages before we went to the Temple of Mythal? There were, there were 3 in our group, or could be. The Inquisitor has a mark on his/her hand that can close Fade rifts, and the Breach. Does this qualify them for godhood? Cory seems to think so, and while the Andrastians fall short of godhood, they have elevated them to Prophet status.

As an aside, did your Human Inquisitor denounce the Maker after the Temple, assuming they followed the Maker at all? If you did follow the Maker, and didn't denounce Him, why are you expecting Sera to claim her religion's wrong and believe that there are other Gods? Especially considering the above, you know, where we don't even know if they're really gods, and not actual demons/spirits? I know my Human didn't see enough to make her believe that they were actual Gods. She did raise an eyebrow at the whole thing, but not enough to shatter her faith, since she was a devout Andrastian. This, even after the closing credits, and I'm still not convinced they aren't more like Justice, or Cole, than Divine.

Her viewpoint isn't the problem. Her demanding that the Inquisitor change her viewpoint is.

Sera seems very much a perfect storm of politics, gender identity, gender role conformity, response to authority and entitlement. Very disappointing, it appears, since the The Hero is entitled to change her into some combination of a nurturing, nesting, straight, polite, mature, randian, obedient, 1950's housewife. (Obviously the specific combination varies, ie. some people would like to wield their awesome force of awesome personal awesomeness to make her over into a hawt lesbian adventuress in the bedroom while a polite, mature, obedient, nurturing, conservative madonna elsewhere.) So it appears, anyway.

All I wanted was for her to not try to change me to the point of breaking up with me if I didn't.

Two thumbs up for hating Alistair. I don't care who people hate, really, I don't. What bugs me is reading stuff that's just not true according to what we're given in game. I can't say why it bugs me, for sure, but it surely does.

What?

He's making the argument (again) that people only dislike Sera because they want her to become a submissive meek girl who's straight for the male inquisitor. Because that has been rebutted over and over, he's used a lot of words to obscure it.

yeah I get that part, its the additional wording and refusal to drop it that makes me go "what?"

She and no I'm not. I am expressing the opinion that some people hate Sera because they wanted to change one (or more) of her annoying or unacceptable (to them) traits in order to "fix" her. They express this by lamenting that she should have changed during the story.

he's used a lot of words

Shame you didn't read them.

I don't think it's a sign of tremendous psychological health to, not break up with someone over religion, but demand that your girlfriend change her religion to stay with you.

Imo, Sera is nothing special, but i dont hate her. I suppose im just ambivalent on her. She has some funny moments but mostly I ignore her because shes just such a clown.

She didn't.

You expressed your position. She argued her position. The two were not reconcilable and neither of you would recant. She felt it was a fundamental incompatibility and she left you. At no point did she say anything remotely like "Change your religion right now or else I'll leave you!"
