Really? So you didn't go to recruit Sera until you went to Skyhold? Because prior to that, you don't have the option to judge people, you're the Herald, not the Inquisitor. Cart before the horse?

O right because haven had no prison right!? Right.

Because you are so blinded by some bizarre hostility towards my differing opinions of a fictional character that you are nitpicking at any slip ups I make and essentially ignoring the body of my post. You're right, I don't remember his name. Maybe he doesn't have one. Good on you, pat yourself on the back. Now actually address the point I was trying to make. It's clearly stated what said point is in that post.

You mean the willful ignorance? I've spent a considerable amount of time pointing that out in this thread, haven't you noticed? I have also, on two separate occasions stated that objecting to the method she uses to kill him is subjective, and that my perspective is different from some others. Of course, one of those instances is in the very post you quoted to post this. Now, I could go on to point out willful ignorance, but do I really have to? I mean, you're so gung ho about shouting me down, and telling people they should learn to concede points in an argument that you don't even notice when somebody does just that? What's up with that?

When do we get an option to send anyone to the cells in Haven? I'm actually talking about events in game, what are you talking about? Is there some fanfic site I need to hit to be up on what actually goes on in game?

After completing the game for the first time, the whole way through she and Cole felt like fish out of the water. All the others have a real tangible reasons to be a part of the Inquisition, they have a valiant cause. For Cole, its a perfectly fitting place to be in, considering his nature, but Sera... Sera just doesn't really fit the Inquisition. She's to psychotic to entrust her with anything important, and her who "for the little people" spiel is a joke and just doesn't fit the cause of the Inquisition. She hates people of power, yet she's intimately working with (or for) people of power: Cassandra, Leliana, Cullen, Trevelyan, Vivienne, etc.

She joined, and stays, because its fun. It's where the party's at.

Having a dungeon at your disposal and having the power vested in you to pass legal judgment on people are two separate things. Even if you had the option to simply toss him in a cell, you can't have any formal proceedings.

I don't agree with this interpretation. From Sera's POV you have hitched your wagon to a living-in-the-past, professional-victim racist ideology. She will not intimately involve herself with someone who embraces something that she finds so fundamentally repugnant. You have chosen to embrace the exact polar opposite of her (repeatedly expressed) life stance. She says "Some things don't fit" and she's right. This is a very real conflict for her. That it's not an issue for you and that you therefore just dismiss it just makes it that much worse.

I haven't completely caught up with the thread, but to that I gotta say - Yay!

I've always found it a little odd that Bioware romances were not impacted by deep ideological differences - e.g., a mage Hawke could romance Fenris, etc. - although they dealt with some of that with the wacky notion of rival-mance.

It's nice to see a character reject a romance for reasons other than race, gender, or romance with another character.

Exactly so, except that this is not "on my level", it is on yours. I was only and ever speaking exclusively about a consistent in-game moral framework. You broke the fourth wall, don't blame me if it blows up in your face.

Nothing has blown up in my face. You're having to resort to extreme hyperbole, exaggeration, misdirection and condescension to even continue arguing your case. At no point have you actually addressed my points consistently or rationally. You are not willing to explain your own views beyond sarcastically putting overblown words into my mouth that suggest some obscene, skewed morality I have. With the occasional classy eye roll.

Added to that, I don't recall ever getting an option to even think about sending anyone to the jails in Haven. Did you run across any instances? I'm far from a completionist run, so I could have missed something.

No offense dude, but I have yet to observe you putting forth a proper argument either.

The majority of your viewpoints have consisted of "argument by proof of assertion" rather than citing sources and showing video or textual examples.

I am not saying Nathair has been 100% right either, but Nathair has at least addressed points with video, by video, and corrected herself when shown video proof of an opposing argument.

For the most part, I've yet to really see anyone here put forth a proper argument.

Hey everyone look! Sera's psychotic again. *sigh*

Sera has reasons for joining. She spells them out clearly. All her "Sera approves/disapproves" feedback reinforces her stated reasons and motivations. She is a little bit complex but entirely consistent. Not understanding the character is more a case of PEBCAK than anything else.

Cool, I don't remember it, but that quest had me so frazzled with all the running around that I'm not surprised.

Edit:  It just occurred to me, but did we get him out of jail when we had to bail?

I have explained. I will explain again but only because you say such sweet things about me here and in PMs.

I was only and ever speaking about a consistent in-game moral framework.

You have chosen to discuss something else and that only on and in your own terms.

Good luck with that.

Funny you mention that because a lot of people were side eying the way DA2 was, Fenris romancing a mage, Anders with Hawke who supports templars etc and called it unrealistic and ridiculous...... and when they finally did that with Sera, people went up in arms about it and are annoyed.

Bioware just can't win, sadly.
