All I know is, I never laughed out so often than I do since I got Sera and the Iron Bull in my party.
Their chats are awesome...

Sera doesn't hate Vivienne as much as Cole though. At least, she'd still try to troll Vivienne. With Cole, Sera refuses to even speak to him and call him "that thing" and "it". Cole is the only one who can actually troll and ****** Sera off.
Nah. If you decide to make him human (i think), she warms up to him later on. She even calls him "he" instead of "it".
Sera is just wary of spirits and magic in general.
Meh, i got
'd again.
If you make Cole human she will start calling him "he" if you ask her about Cole in skyhold. There is also a banter between Cole and Sera about it with Inquisitor being able to participate, plus when in skyhold he can read Sera's mind to you and it says something along the lines of 'called him "him"'.
Does that mean that Sera actually grows as a character, since she accepts someone else and changes her opinion about them over the course of the game?
Cute Avatar you got
That would have been something to see in-game ![]()

Typically how it is with racial phobia, gender discrimination, heteronormative standards and phobias of many kinds
It is usually when we forget that it is all about humans with pretty much the same set of needs, emotions and reactions. Convenient to make them "it" and Sera seems to do much of that (to avoid thinking about them/him/her/it because it is not comfortable to have to go through all the reevaluation of her own (our) thoughts, I guess).
Well, let's be honest here, Cole isn't human (Or Elf/Dwarf/Qunari) and he doesn't have the same needs, especially if you don't choose the human path. Considering how well things usually go when spirits and demons are involved, I think Sera's attitude is a bit more understandable and justified than something like gender discrimination.Typically how it is with racial phobia, gender discrimination, heteronormative standards and phobias of many kinds

I don't think Sera ever hated Cole. More that she was just affraid, since he's a spirit and she doesn't like them.

Oh yeah, absolutely. Just like I get more nervous when I see armed police rather than unarmed police (because they do after all have more potential for being dangerous).

I never said that She did
. To me, their relationship seemed more like brother and sisters, with sister being the elder one.
Dang, just ran out of likes
Haha, same here
Never knew it was a quota on that
Guess I like a lot on BSN.

everyone deserves love! Even Sera! ![]()

Man, I just cannot for the life of me remember that Cole exists.
everyone deserves love! Even Sera!
Especially Sera I imagine
I wonder...is my Qunari too old for Sera? ![]()
My elven keeper certainly is and doesn't care enough to be more than a big sister (but a good and serious one).
My human mage didn't understand much about Sera, being too far out to be able to relate to the "erratic elven mongrel" while not understanding she is bit racistic and snob about it. Ironically is the human mage attracted to the rather racist Solus, strange isn't it, or should we be lenient and call him "racial-aware"? Vivienne makes her feel constantly like a street pedlar, but I bet she would have loved to emulate Vivienne and be her equal "gossip-girl". The human mage and Vivienne hasn't talked much yet (early in the game there).
This thread really has made me curious about the writers opinions ![]()

I remember when it was announced that she was only a option for female Inquisitors I was pissed I liked her character appearance and she seemed interesting and I wasn't a fan of Cassandra in DA2
but now looking back I would never have romanced her
she is probably one of the most annoying companions ever in a Bioware game the way she talks and her general attitude ![]()
its a shame we can't kill her
And now I actually like Cassandra she definitely surprised me, things change
I know, if we could recruit her then, let her die at Haven that would be perfect. That or leave her dead in the field, for good, send her on a mission and she dies, that noble kills her, something. Can't so I don't recruit her at all. Too annoying and, I can do w/o a mission and a quest easier than I can put up with stubborn closed minded stupidity.
Sure Cole is ignorant of a lot but he's a spirit and simply doesn't know. He will change if he learns and, he's willing to try to learn, Sera isn't even willing to consider any opinion or view but her own.

Some people see the world in black and white. She sees the world as her and then everyone and everything else that isn't her as stupid. As someone who was raised to be accepting of the fact other people have their own view points and lives she just pisses me off.
Corphy-fish, an authority figure?
She says it "Why should I show him the respect of using his name?" Stupid, she is not.
I'll just repeat what I said in another thread.
Sera's heart is in the right place and I love everything she stands for.
But Sera herself is really grating. Like when I was
...I was wondering where my option was to tell her, "The adults are talking, sweetie. Run along and find something else to do."

agree I never kick someone out of my party in Bioware games (until Sera I liked every one of them) but damm what an annoying brat
As soon as she interrupted my conversation and killed the noble I kicked her out
where is the murder knife when you need it?
I don't hate Sera. I just don't like her much.
Majority of my conversations with her, I've had no idea what she's talking about.
My first playthrough was as an elf - and "elfy" elf, as Sera would say. And Sera pretty much hated every word that came out of my mouth. I gave up trying to talk during cutscenes and personal quests, because pretty much everytime I tried to to say something reasonable I'd get disapproval. Just ended up letting her ramble on and murder people.
She's also a total dick to female elves after a certain point in the Solas romance. If I hadn't been so excited to see companion reactions (and if it had been an option), I would have punched her in the face right then.
I think I'm going to romance her on an evil playthrough just because she's the only companion whose a big enough ******* to mesh with ******* Inquisitor.
Funny thing is I found that I understood (most) things Cole said but couldn't understand a damn thing Sera said, lol (with the exception of the cookie sceen)
I recruited her cause I thought she would make a nice Varic replacement, however I quickly abandoned her in Skyhold. Only reason I didn't kick her out was because it would have felt like kicking a retarded child out into the street.
I recruited all companions and did all their personal quests (with the exception of Dorian cause I guess he didn't like me enough) and I found I disliked Sera the most out of all the companions, followed by a close second with Vivian.
Cassandra, Varic and Vivian were my main party through most of the game (cause at least Viv is a kick ass mage) but talking to her on a personal level got on my nerves.
