Nah, my Qunari is pretty greasy looking.
Why do a lot of people hate Sera?

I guess it's the demand of the Qun to use too much moisturizer.

Probably raw olive oil.

Pretty sure its because Sera does not have even one single redeeming feature that I have seen.
Arrogance, ignorance, childishness, pettiness, rude, crude, crass, envious, jealousness, angry, violent, sadistic, heartless...
Yep, she has all of those covered. If I spent another minute, I could probably add quite a few more to that list. Yet, I can't seem to even think of one single redeeming quality to her personality. I had originally planned a romance playthrough with her, but at this point, I can't even stand her in my party for any length of time.

Meh...everyone should be able to have their own opinions, i personally like Sera alot but others hate her, doesn't have any impact on my life if someone has a different preference to me, although it is annoying when some hardcore haters seemingly get so angry about it

I loathe Sera, she is easily the most annoying character I have heard/played/seen. I would rather be trapped on a deserted island with Jar Jar Binks(Star Wars) and Neelix (Voyager).
I didn't think you could make a more annoying character than those two.
Top Reasons:
1. She Looks like King Joffery(Jack Gleeson) with Boobs. This results in her looking extremely ugly(Note:I think the other girls in the game look fine, only Sera is ugly).2. Her Derbyshire Accent. Its the British equivalent of the Jersey Accent. So annoying to listen to.
3. She is very immature which is not humorous, much like King Joffery. Varric/Anders/Alistar are humorous, Sera is not.
4. She is flat out stupid, just wait till the party banter goes off.
Her only Saving Grace:
Arrows>Magic
I'll have you know right now SERA DOES NOT HAVE A DERBYSHIRE ACCENT!!!
Hmpf!

While I find some of these questionable anyway (especially since things like rudeness, crudeness, anger and violence are typically celebrated on this forum), the ones I'm most curious about are jealousy, sadism and heartlessness. When does she really exhibit these things?

Cus she is bi*** simple as that morrigan was bi*** (stupid evil) as well but she was likable if you befriended her.
she is a hypocrite as well add to that not very bright and childish and well pretty much even if you are in good terms with you she have moments that she is super bi*** toward you.

Wait that just like--things--like the way she talks yeh--or something else I dont know. BREACHES!
No, I think she's funny, and what she talks about is fine. But there is just something about how her lines are delivered with that accent that grinds on my nerves. I'm not sure how to explain it.

My dislike for Sera comes from how her character is , just as IRL i dislike some people for how they are , we can't like everybody nor can everybody like us.

I'm on my second playthrough, and this time after Verechial (spelling) I thought I would gently chastise her about putting her 'friends' in danger. Previously I had supported her actions.
Bloody hell she literally exploded ! She cannot take advice or constructive criticism and does not seem to care if her 'friends' get hurt at all. Towards the end of that chat I thought she was coming around when she basically told me that she was right and I was wrong. She was so damn close to being kicked out at that point. In fact, the next time she goes off on one again she is gone, I ain't got time for that ****.
Also, whatever Bioware use for the skin textures does not help because they look greasy. Now with Cullen it works as he is in lyrium withdrawal, but with Sera her skin just looks terrible. And why did they decide to make her hair out of straw - seen the sign of those strands ?
Anyway, that little rant of hers really put me off her. Happy to give her a formal warning about it.
She is right to chastise you for believing she puts her friends in danger. She doesn't. This is, of course, all neatly explained in dialog with her if you pursue it, it seems like you didn't, prior to blaming her for the consequences of her "friend's" actions. In that very mission you decide to chastise her about? There's an interesting piece of dialog that bears this claim out. The servant that gets the arrows in his chest? He had no idea Sera was the Jenny that responded to the tip, and she didn't know he was the one who tipped her, until he said something about it.
You can see this starting at 15 seconds in...

I really think Sera embodies the female chav's personality. If the devs were trying to create the epitome of a chav, they really succeeded with this character. Problem is, most of people (it seems not everyone) won't feel comfortable running around with a chav as part of their entourage.
Why would I want to bring a chav like Sera to my party when I know how obnoxious, shallow, simple minded, overly aggressive and vulgar they can be? I don't really understand it. To make it worse, Sera doesn't even seem to care about anything that's going on in the main story.
I watched several videos of her banters with all different companions, trying to figure if there was any redemption for her as a character but she doesn't seem to evolve throughout the game. It reminded me of the uncomfortable feeling of bringing Anders to my party in DA2, just to listening to him whining and being overly aggressive in every single interaction he had with whoever else was in my party. I even watched videos of Sera's romance interaction and it felt like the feminquisitor was trying to have sex with a schizophrenic child. I supposed the writers had a purpose with her character and maybe I just failed to find it.

You could literally spend hours on youtube watching banter videos, and not even scratch the surface of what she does grow into. With her second dialog in Haven, you can ask about where she's from; Ferelden. You can acknowledge you got that from her accent, and she'll hem and haw but finally go with Denerim. You can ask about any connections worth mentioning, and she'll go on about it being complicated, and she hates complicated. Later, if you've spoken to her and garnered some approval, she'll talk about her past some more, and even talk about her upbringing, the Cookies with Sera thing. From Haven to that point is a lot of development. So I'm not sure how you can say there's none, unless you just haven't spoken with her at all, or not played the game at all.

Sera is a bit of a shock to the psyche when you first meet her. I was confused more than anything to be honest. I think people react to her as they would in real life which is actually kind of funny. I don't even like her that much but this playthrough I figured I will try. As has been said she was like Jack who I absolutely loved by the end so I am trying the bear it out and see this time. Saying that she does make me frown a lot. ![]()

Well she didn't make good first impression, but I ended up liking her..... I envy her body model. More natural and that's the way elven women should look like. My elf female looks anorexic.
So anyway the only thing I hate about her is that she doesn't give a ***t about her own people. It's a bit annoying because she was present and the well, but still denied all that ancient elven stuff. It's understandable since she grew up in Denerim, but still..
I would've loved some kind of a quest or dialogues that would make her respect her people more and actually care about elven culture and heritage.
