I can't work out how you select and speak to your party members?  How is a romance possible if you can't talk to each other?  (Playing on Xbox 360) help please

Hehe, They eliminated the ability to talk to party members in DA2.  But you can talk to your companions and advisors within the walls of Haven and Skyhold.

 

Xbox, isn't A or X usually select?

Thanks, I played origins but not the 2nd one, so missed that... frustrating.  A is the action key also jump.... so jump then loot.... looks ridiculous   x button just activates a special attack... so I guess there isn't a select other than the arrow key to select who you are playing as

 Lol.  It's quite common to see people skip DA2 even though it was awesome.

You need to face your companions- a sort of faded speech box should pop up when you come near them - there are opportunities to speak to them in open world and you will typically be prompted for them.

No talking while out on an adventure. Only in "camp."

And there is no way of knowing how much approval you have other than their cards change at key levels. Angry, neutral and friends is (I think) all you get.
