Here's a nightmare difficulty Corypheus solo kill done with an archer. He uses some cheese tactics for sure, but still looks like a powerful build.

While on the topic of archer. I'm doing a solo archer NM run. Are there any skill in the stealth tree I should get except for invisibility?

 

I'm level 8 and have pretty much every skill I deem useful for solo, excluding any assassin skills.

 

that is:

-the left side of the archery tree + first blood + long shot

-upgraded poison weapon

-invisibility

 

Any recommendations?

I found Archer Assassin build both very fun and very powerful. Stealth, Full Draw, Stealth, Hidden Blades, Stealth, Long Shot. Because you crit out of stealth, and stealth provides a 50% damage increase, and you can re-stealth after every kill, you're able to wipe out many weaker enemies before they realize what's going on.

 

For tougher enemies, Mark of Death is of course the OP skill to go to.

DW rogue > Archer Rouge >>> Reaver-DragonRageSpam-2Warrior>Dps Mage(No idea which spec does best..) > tanks.

 

Archer does very good damage. However, they hit a "sweet" spot between level 6-13 where they just don't hold up. At level 4, or so, you get Full Draw which will hit for about 1k-1.5k. That crries you. Once the enemies get some health, you start to struggle. At the 12-13 range you get your specialization up and running, and the joy is real. Artificer Archer? You'r a gattling gun. Assassination archer? Watch thing explode! Tempest Archer? Flask of fire means you get 4, or 5, longshots off for free for some burst.

Prove that. I can't speak for a Necromancer mage, but I can say an artificer archer outdps a reaver.

Assassin + Tempest + Tempest is the highest damage I have ever seen.
Mark of Death + 2x Flask of Fire Spam = 140,000 damage boom.

Evade is useful for solo.
