150 hours and most nights I don't crash at all.
Only got 0 xp bug a couple times.
never had texture bugs.
havnt even got the "can't move when joining a game in progress" for like a week now.

*shrug*
Plays pretty well for a newly released online game imo.

Must be nice. For many of us, we're not so lucky.

Played over 100 hours of MP. 1 in 10 matches are infinite loading screens (at worst), a couple of crashes (once at Zone 5, once after mission completion), encountered invincible assassin enemy once (I was hosting, so I just left and let the Zone reset), and once loaded in without abilities on my Reaver. Never encountered any other bugs, not with the frequency other players are experiencing.

Sure, sometimes I join a game where I'm rubberbanding or lagging like crazy. Either I tough it out and try my best, or I leave if it's really unplayable. And then I make it a point to not play with that host again, or I host my own matches. I have a growing friends list of fellow Singaporeans and I try to join their games as often as possible, eliminating connectivity issues.

Basically what I'm saying it that people who are having bad experiences are bringing it up on the forums, while people who don't have problems playing are too busy playing to post on the forums, which makes the state of the game sound worse than it actually is.

@Zane Storm, I'm sorry to hear you're having so many problems :(  I know this will probably sound dumb, but have you verified that you are running the latest drivers for your graphics card?  I know a lot of the initial problem reports we investigated turned out to be resolved by checking the computer configuration was correct.

In any case, I believe there may be fixes for various stability issues in upcoming patches.  I'm not fully clear on what, where, and when about patches, so I'm hesitant to make any promises, but I really hope they improve your experience--encountering multiple issues per hour must be very frustrating.  Just because I've had a good experience on my home computer doesn't mean I'm satisfied with that.  We want everyone to have a good experience.  That is why we continue to chase down bugs and look to improve the game every single day.

Please don't misinterpret devs posting infrequently as not looking at player feedback.  Every thread in this forum is read, and we are definitely hearing your feedback.

I have indeed updated the drivers to their latest versions, sadly it didn't help.  :(

It's good to hear that issues are known at the very least. It's food for thought, but I've noticed most of the issues - including my own - have been in multi player rather than single player. This is the first confirmation I've personally had that dev's are working on it, but knowing that there are fixes coming, even if it may well not fully solve all issues or all of the issues I've faced initially is still very promising. From an outside perspective, before this post I didn't even know that Dev's were aware of the issues in MP specifically, but now I do. Something as simple as your post has alot of value to the community in that regard, even if to you it may just be stating the obvious or stating what you know is happening, and even if you don't know the specifics.

I completely get why dev's post infrequently - after all it's time consuming to post thoughtful replies. And that time is essentially your valuable spare time that is being taken. But being visible, as both yourself and Amelia have done here, has already caused some useful discussions to be had! Even throwing about general ideas, and confirming that player feedback is seen is a positive step towards community interaction.

So is there a post on, like their official forums, also stating this?

Not having a go at you Mr/Ms Killsion, but it's indicative of the communication-side from BW.

Agreed.

I've only made a few posts on the single player forums, and only when there's been a problem (stuck quests etc), i haven't made any posts saying how good it is.

However from my friends, many will try something once, and if it isn't any good right then and there, they just quit, and never try again.

Many tried ME3MP once, and never again;  and similarly a number tried DAMP, but haven't been back due to the early (and on going) connection issues.

Personally i've started playing single player DAI again, as i think it's a better use of time at the moment, compared to DAMP.

To my knowledge, there has not been one, but if there is someone to jab at, it would be Bioware developer and Executive Producer of Dragon Age Mark Darrah for making this tweet should he fail on it.

He states the goal was Dec 9. Then goes on to state "we will be missing that on most platforms" and in a followup states bluntly "we will be patching the PC". He gives no indication as to why, but it is probably console certification is taking too long. Ergo, PC patch on the intended goal of Dec 9, consoles whenever it gets certified, which is basically what I was asking for earlier.

The question now is if this is the supposed "day 1" patch, or a newer patch based on feedback?

I imagine the patch is delayed a bit for something I deem to be rather obvious: Fixing bugs added time to the content release, meaning a bit of a delay.

That said, knowing it is coming rather soon is enough for me. Despite all the frustrations I feel, I still end up playing quite a bit of Multiplayer every day, so... I guess that is a testament to the Multiplayer mode in a nutshell.

That said, at least my saved gold is slowly piling up. :P

To all people interested: STOP WHINING

There are some bugs present in game right now, but I'm sure Bioware is working on it right now. These bugs are frustrating, but game is still playable.

If you are that sickened with multiplayer, play single player or some other game.

For a game over 60 dollars there should be a patch already.  Most games have a patch to fix these problems.  I've seen 10 dollar games solve problems after release.

Having the same issue as the original poster with crashes.  You all seem to derail the whole post even the bioware person.

The crashes happen alot.  With just load crashes, connecting crashes, and game crashes.  Some crashes happen in single player.

It is very stupid to say we shouldn't play if we don't like it.  That's how a company loses customers.

Treating us like misbehaving infants for reporting issues. This is why Bioware needs a Community Manager.

They used to have one in Chris Priestly and he was a massive....well fill in the blank.  I had one run in with him on the forums back on the BSN over something that was in no way against ToS and was threatened with a ban.  I just stopped posting.

As for Amelia's post I immediately thought she was very condescending and rude in her post and needs to be banned from posting as an employee of Bioware seeing as threatening to ban people over nonsense that she seems to view as an attack was wrong.  I have worked customer service before and while I believe that most of the time the customer is wrong you don't tell them that.  You do your best to fix the issue that they are having and make them happy because as the old saying goes, a good experience gets told maybe once a bad experience will always be mentioned about a company.  So far Bioware has been, and should accept, that they have done nothing good here in regards to status on a patch, or what it MIGHT fix (might because I can think of a number of times in ME3MP where they said they fixed something only to find it wasn't).  I don't care about the patches after the upcoming I just would like to know what this one is supposed to be addressing, and let the others be announced after it.

As for the QA in this game, was there any?  I have been one of the lucky people and haven't had TOO MANY issues but I know of some who aren't even bothering with campaign or MP anymore due to the issues they have had.  I have tested software before and I am amazed that this made it out of beta...sorry early access. How is it that the cut scenes weren't found to have an issue?  Broken quests?  Major bugs in MP such as rampage, some rings not working or the fact (and I love this one) that we get items in MP with bonus focus generation on them?  That last one really gets me rolling because it shows a complete lack of sense or care in the design of it and that these items were basically just ripped from SP and dropped into MP.  Or my favorite is when I even think about getting the capture objective since if i get near it the game closes to desktop, or if I do get it right after i complete that the game closes to desktop.

I told myself and a number of friends that I was going to get this game on good faith due to having played Biowares games since Baldur's Gate was released and loving them.  It was Biowares last chance with me and while I will say that the game is fun (when it works) and I am enjoying the story immensely (when it works, see broken quests in other threads) I don't think I am going to be pre-ordering anything else from Bioware in the future.  It did stop me from abandoning Bioware totally but I wont be paying top dollar anymore for a game from you.

On a final note I love how Biowares own website is looking for a QA Lead in the career section. (http://careersearch....-test-lead-jobs)

Pretty sure my cat could do a better job testing this game and all he would do is sleep.  At least then we would know what he did with his time.

Sure it is common sense that employees should be careful about rudeness because their behavior will reflect on their company, but at the same time, sometimes people will have things to say that the company would love to censor but which can be useful or even important information for the public. So unless an employee is hired to speak for the company, I don't think they should be held to the kind of standard you are suggesting, and I would not want their freedom of expression in any way limited.

Lots of good feedback here!

...Community managers, and moderators do, and they have my utmost respect for it. We have some fantastic people doing those jobs...

Who are they?

Where are they?

Oh really? Is that why every single retail giant enforces this exact philosophy? If you want good relationships with your consumer, they are always right.

Well the guy said he 'used to work' in the retail industry. Bet he got fired for being bad at customer service.

My friends and I play quite a lot, crashes occur at least once or twice a day.

Main complaints:

- Clunky feel to game unless playing with a controller

- No push to talk button option

- Need harder difficulty level (Like Platinum in ME3)

- In-game chests should drop gear dependent on difficulty(getting L1 commons, L4 rares or L8 uniques from Perilous chests? meh)

- Guard seems really weak right now

- Barrier overpowered

- Let me pay for larger inventory please! tired of opening 4 chests and having to salvage

- Random crashes. Sometimes 2 party members crash at same exact time.

Otherwise I am loving the game and hope to see Bioware improve DAMP into the amazing experience it almost is and definitely should be in the near future.

I've started counting how many matches I've played and listing the problems as I encounter in them. So far of the 15 matches I've played since documenting this... 5 of them have had problems, this is after forwarding the necessary ports. I've noticed that when I do get a good run, so long as the host stays the same, I don't encounter further issues.

My hastily written checklist includes the following problems:

  • Can't move upon joining: 1
  • Map/environment missing: 0
  • Super lag: 1 (host was in another country by my guess, since they weren't speaking English)
  • Crash to Desktop: 0, but I also haven't hosted and it seems to be something I only encounter when hosting.
  • Neverending match: 0, although the super lag match did take forever and a day to complete.
  • Host migration failed: 1
  • Disconnection from servers: 2

Now, in all fairness, some of these are latency/host related issues. Whether that's because the country I'm in has lame ISPs or if it's something else, I don't know. Latency wise, I have had super laggy matches before I started documenting them where the host was in the same country as I am. It's baffling how I could play ME3MP with hosts in the US or Europe and not have problems, but playing with a host in the same country on DA:I? Rubberbanding everywhere! I know it isn't BioWare's fault that we have bad internet here, but is there a possibility that there is some netcode problems? That's way over my head, I've seen it mentioned before which is the only reason why I know about it.

While some of these bugs are very game breaking (especially the first two) and overshadow the good experience at times, I am having an overall fun time playing the game. I see potential here, and the team dynamic is usually a pretty good one. Looking forward to some fixes, if there's any in the works for the problems I'm having at any rate.

Awesome! I didn't see that as I don't check the blog, but at a glance it looks like the issues I'm having may be fixed with Patch 2. Looking forward to it.

That doesn't tell us anything besides what the standard tag line has been.  We expect stability fixes.  We expect animation/cutscene fixes.  What would be nice is some idea WHAT those fixes are and if Bioware is even bothering to address the stuff that the majority of the community who is having issues has mentioned, or if Bioware is just fixing things that they knew about at launch and never bothered to fix prior due to the holiday shopping season.

See I remember back when Bioware was a no name company but they went out of their way to make a great game (BG, BG2, PS:Torment etc) and I had to look for it but the patch notes for BG read like a novel.  It would be great to see that kind of dedication to your games and company again.  Also I still dont believe that you are the right person to be posting these things Amelia due in part to your attack on people who did nothing wrong in the first place.  But who am I besides a paying customer?

Bioware only made Baldur's Gate. You're confusing them with Black Isle. Also they stated clearly patch notes are soon to come, so take a seat and wait for the patch and the full notes and then read to your hearts content.

Wow, that's a whole lot of needless hostility. Also, PS:T was Black Isle, not Bioware.

Multiplayer – In addition to some of the gameplay improvements listed above, multiplayer fixes also cover areas such as animations, game mode bugs, stat reporting, and stability/crash fixes.

No nerfs?

I kinda miss my regular BSN tears...

It does not explains anything.

I stopped to play MP for a while.

It can be cheated and people do that.

There some really broken classes and some that really OP

Alot of glitches, Character bumping, 0 xp bug.

Some classes have only 1-2 viable builds for hi game.

No option to push to talk and forced mic .

Etc Etc.

The MP game have great potential, but please finish it!
