When I get feedback along the lines of "I've played 100's of hours of your game but you really dropped the ball." that's confusing! It seems contradictory.
No! not at all
Take me for example:
I read previews and pre-tests. I love the genre and I liked what I read there. So I bought the game.
Now I am playing it and I still like the genre and I like the world I am in.
BUT now it happens that while playing I encounter countless problems and bugs
which neither where anounced, nor mentioned in any advertisement or preview etc.
Following your logic I should immediately stop playing and buy another game???
I chose another way: I am posting in this forum - finding other people that have the same problem
and simply hope for feedback from Bioware and THEN for a patch - of course.
Was this the wrong way to choose ??
(I am writing these lines, just coming from a match where I heroically destroyed the demon commander,
waiting for the score screen. But instead of the score screen I found me (and my confused team)
standing at the entrance of level 5/5 where a happy demon commander was waiting for us.
He killed us withing 60 seconds)
- ah I forgot: of course we got no EXP for the whole thing

My bold.
Maybe that is what we all should do because numbers/sales/profit is strong (the only) argument for people who make calls about further investment into this game. Though that is a theory. As someone else posted earlier, some people stay 30+ years in abusive relationship.
What I would like to hear, as customer who bought faulty product by standards of any industry except the software one:
We are aware of it, we apologize and we are making it our highest priority.
I am not even gonna ask for free packs, like in FIFA for example, as compensation and sign of good will. They are garbage.

Turns out lost XP isn't always really lost. I had that issue earlier, logged back in later, and I had indeed levelled up and had the point to spend.

NO XBONE!!!!!!! THAT'S UNNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Out of curiosity, why the delay?
Welcome to Console deployment and Certification.
Develop (in house) -> QA Cert (in house) -> Console manufacturer Cert (has fees) -> deployment
Each step can take variable amounts of time. If a problem is found at any step it all has to start over.
Either the Xbox One patch failed Console Cert or it's still held up in Console Cert.

I'm sorry, but this is just wrong. We get a passive aggressive wall of text every time people talk about their concerns and dare to question the quality of the product the paid for. But when people ask a genuine question about game information or mechanics we get one liners that look like tweets from a teenager. Apologies if it hurts your feelings, but seriously...
In a thread asking about being able to view the stats of MP characters all we get is a question - "what stats?" And someone needs to put screenshots of SP attributes page.
In another thread someone asked for the ability to select random map when creating lobby/hosting. All we got is - "it's there already...oh wait, it's not, it's just quick match option... lolz"
Thread about demon commander - "Ya'll gotta run! As soon as he goes under just start sprinting, he won't hit you" - too bad people keep reporting this is not the case. So much for pr0 tips from someone playing the game for 2 years as you claim.
Just to name a few.
I still don't get it why games are treated completely different from any other product we buy. No one would accept a phone, TV or any other appliance with some functions not working. You would not accept uncooked food in restaurant. For some reason you should accept bugged games with no promise anything will be fixed.
Well said! God imagine going to a restaurant and everyone at the table getting uncooked food to have a response like the one we were given, well we will just have to throw you out and ban you all. Imagine the complaints and reviews that place would get ![]()

It's just frustrating to see Dragon Age multiplayer marred by the same connectivity problems that plagued Mass Effect 3 multiplayer for so long. I have a very solid internet connection, and I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to suffer through endless "your connection to the server has been lost" this time around.
I'm sad, because there's so much potential being squandered by poor netcoding. I can forgive bugs and imbalances at launch (provided they get fixed, of course), but I cannot forgive consistently dysfunctional netcoding.
I hope it gets fixed, because the multiplayer was what got me most excited about this game in the first place.

And this issue has a very easy quickfix if they are unable to actually fix the disconnection issues: Reduce the penalty for sudden crashes and disconnects, or at least allow the person who crashed to have the option to rejoin within the next 60 seconds before he suffers an xp penalty or his slot is filled up by a newcomer. Let's be honest here, do we really want to double-slap people, first by making them magically crash, then by taking away all of their xp, so that we can discourage the ragequitters? This is punishing innocent people for an issue that is orders of magnitude less of an issue than the rampant crashing.
Sometimes the crashes are so bad, post-patch too, it feels like I'm doing a square dance with players crashing and joining in every game.

I think the xp is uploaded to your profile during the match, so it seems that this has been fixed, at least.

It was always the items and gold being added to the profile as soon as you get them. You can crash out and if you get back before the next checkpoint you will keep your XP. Now if you are on a team with a pub or two who don't give a damn and always click everything they see whether or not they need to your effectively screwed out of what you would have gotten for XP. I do agree with the rampant crashing and disconnects being a huge issue that, and I hate to admit this, seems to have gotten slightly better after patch 2. Used to be when you had to capture scrolls, weapons etc if I thought about getting within 30 feet of them or got them my game would magically close. So far it seems to be working fine but time will tell.

I'm honestly interested in this. It seems like I see this same post come up every few days, and its always a collection of the same members in the thread. Some of the members who have commented here only post negative comments throughout the board, every day. It seems like a number of you are very unsatisfied with the mode, my natural inclination would be to believe that you would post your feedback and either continue on with another game and stop playing or wait patiently to see things resolved. Its really strange behavior to continue to play and post about a game, daily, that you absolutely dislike. I've been thinking about it and my best guesses are:
A.) Some feel they're not being heard.
B.) Some have noticed that they're getting attention when they're behaving poorly.
I've been told repeatedly that the answer is probably B.) but I want to see if I can get some level headed answers and maybe uncover some good dialogue between us. Hopefully that is the case, otherwise I think moderation of certain users will be necessary to clean up the community and keep it healthy. If the answer is A.) then we're doing our best to let the community know they're heard, and I personally have had a strong presence in the MP boards. If there is something we're missing on that front please let me know. Maybe its neither!
What do you think?
I´ve tried to play a MP after the release, half of games were terrible due to lags- disconects in client -errors, and the other half was either way disconected in-game or I managed to get to the end without spending 5 minutes of running somewhere in wall frozen in lag. I came back to mp after the latest patch, hoping that either patch fixed things or EA managed to fix the connection issues, instead of it, after almost month is mp still unplayable. People are pissed about it, and they are right to complain about it, otherwise if they did not complain at all, you could easily dismiss their presence. In this case there is such a saying, there is no murder without corpse.
As for the that part with moderation of certain users and keeping community healty, it seems to me as one hell of a totalitarian approach, there was a dozen of people who said the very same and in the end it did not help. These people are complaining because they bought a product and they are entitled to demand a fix, even if they may be angry and sometimes bitchy.
For me personaly it´s about this whole multiplayer, there was a time when I was fine and I still am, that RPG games were only made for SP experience, and I wish that BioWare just step down from this terrible idea of MP, because as far as I can tell, it´s not something revolutionary, nor working for them.

I also had the game crashing during MP + sometimes it's a pain to simply get connected to a match.
I haven't played much as a result , it's not fun wondering if the game is going to shut down and you'll get nothing .
I also had connection issue with ME3 Mp , I fixed that somehow , I can't remember exactly what I did , I think it was some internet port stuff , and it worked back then.
I don't feel like searching the web to fix DAI MP though.
Hope it's going to get fixed .^^

When I get feedback along the lines of "I've played 100's of hours of your game but you really dropped the ball." that's confusing! It seems contradictory.
You know what, I'm usually the first person to stand up and defend devs in these kinds of threads, and while I really do genuinely appreciate you guys and the work you've done on the game, I think the single player campaign is great, but I really feel like I need to call this out.
Particularly in regards to the MP in this game.
Because its basically just a giant Skinner Box without really anything else going on for it.
Its literally designed to condition people to keep playing it.
So when you ask why someone would keep playing it despite the fact they claim to not be enjoying it - well there's your answer.
I really want to like the MP here, and I really think it has a lot of potential, but as it is now I've literally recommended to all of my friends (people I could actively be playing it with!) to just not bother with it because it just feels like a lot of grinding without a lot of depth to me. I really tried to give it a chance, I really did - I got keeper almost to 20, but every time I opened another treasure box and got a bunch of crap I wanted to play less and less. There just isn't enough depth to how it plays, and maybe there's a class I might like to play more than Keeper, but amount of grind its going to take to unlock everything and experiment is just more than I feel like I can be bothered with.
I mean you can either decide to be satisfied with a mode that's a joyless grindy excuse to have microtransactions, or actually try to make it fun to play by its own merits, rather than one people continue to play just because you have them hooked into some reward schedule.
Right now it feels like a half complete beta that got pushed out because Skinner Box + Microtransactions = Easy Money

First time I read this. I think about 60% B, 30% A and, 10% C - people like the game overall but don't say so and, only post about the details they dislike or have problems with. I am guilty of that at times myself. I do like the game, just a few things need fixed (like Sera being too easy to get full disapproval with for simply being honest to her and, Iron bull and Solas repeating the same banter every five minutes while walking around.)

So, I think it's something else. People, fans, forum trolls, gamers... will continue to play and post. Repeatedly. When players think the game is broken and want it to be fixed, that's what they do.
We come and check to see where the hotfix is (because there was a hotfix announced last week but it's not here yet? This is the most EPIC aka long hotfix rollout of all time btw) and when we see it still isn't here, we make a new post. Because it's all we can do while we wait. We can't mod the game to fix it, though I'm sure if we could it would already be done. Wink.
I thought you would recognize this kind of behavior. I see it all the time. I do it... sometimes XD.
So thanks, Amelia, for asking. I think you understand that you are not the one people are frustrated with here.
Here's what I think is happening:
- We have no word on when the fix will be implemented, so we keep coming back to the forums to check. No news, BW? Have another frustrated post!
- The most talked about bug in the forums has been dismissed out-of-hand by the developer as non-existent and simultaneously 'working as intended', which means you have given every BioWare fan and every forum troll on planet earth the right and responsibility to make argumentative posts about you and your game. Even if it works!
Solution?
- Name a date/time for patch, even if it's a guess. 'Fix coming out this weekend' is great.
- Remove 'Hotfix' from Forum Header. Typically 'hotfixes' are immediate. This is not a hotfix, but it still says 'hotfix coming' every time I log in to the forum.
- Recognize the community, your patrons, your fans. Don't dismiss us out-of-hand! Fire that guy who did! I am dismissing him out-of-hand right back again!
I'm pretty sure most of us are here because we really want that patch!
