There is no "next hotfix" at the moment. I'll ask Allan about whether the existing message still needs to exist, as it seems to be confusing some people.

6 crashes in 30 min, 4 full game closes, 2 freezes that needed task manager to restart, on my 2 rejoin, made the host crash twice. at least no direct X error tonight....
But we had a katari in our game...

I just quit playing MP and I love it, but after the key not dropping 4x in a row(we made sure to kill all animals first, leaving only pride demon and fear demon last) we all just gave up. I will try it again tomorrow and hope a hotfix has come by then.

With the new DLC, MP is literally unplayable, and yet, here you're telling us there's no hotfix in the works... 8 out of my 17 friends have quit the MP this week, and you guys only make it worse.

Surely this should absolutely completely and utterly be on your #1 top priority in terms of the MP portion, above literally everything else, seeing as how this game breaking bug is occurring quite frequently? With plans to resolve this game breaking issue as soon as you possibly can...right? I mean truly, you wouldn't say something like 'no next hotfix at the moment' when a bug like this exists in the game.. isn't that right? Please tell me that's right.

This is only one of many game-breaking bugs that have not been dealt with. I wouldn't raise your hopes.

There is a hotfix in the works, after exchanging PMs with the devs, its most definitely being worked on. It hasn't been finished yet though so there is no ETA. Workaround for this glitch is to just kill animals first. I encountered the bug just once last night by doing this.
Andy Kempling even said in the first few hours of me posting my video that it was being investigated.
I don't know for sure if killing the animals first is the solution.
In a game I just played, we killed all the hyenas first, leaving a despair demon as the last enemy around.... and the key didn't drop. First time I see it happening against demons.

Its not a completely watertight solution (happened to me once last night as i said) but it greatly reduces the number of times this bug occurs i find.I don't know for sure if killing the animals first is the solution.

3 out of 4 games last night got the key glitch, in no case was an animal killed last (PS4 console peasant though). I also suspect the game which was fine was a previously glitched game, where the host had left: one treasure room didn't have a chest (previously opened?), and i had joined mid-zone.
I turned it off after the fourth game...

Do you realize that fixing bugs requires more than the move of a magic wand? It takes time, and I'm fairly sure fixing a game breaking bug, like this one, is Bioware's priority right now.

Like i said. Stop trying to justify such a BS. Are u too young to remember days when games was beta tested and content added AFTER release wasn't breaking entire game? It's just this game thing tho, so u would have to be 3 days old. I also think that they are into it coz if not 5 million of lawsuits are incoming. Game is unplayable both SP and MP right now. U can look my posts with screenshots in this topic and other on this subforum.

Too young? Try again, I've been playing videogames for 31 years,so I'm old enough to remember most of this media´s history.
I'm not justifying anything, but you can't expect them to have a fix just right after the problem appears. One thing is sure, though: there are far more problems with the MP that everybody initially expected... although I highly doubt they are going to have "5 million of lawsuits".

I'd contest that:
- Connection issues [esp host migrations & rubber-banding]
- Frozen loading screens
- Joining a game and being unable to move
- Joining a game and being able to move but unable to attack / use abilities
- Key not dropping [this occured pre-addon, but it was rarer]
- Joining a game outside of the map
- Random game crashes with no warning
Sadly the list goes on, they were just off the top of my head. It did become truly unplayable after the add-on, but it was already bad prior. Also, the add-on was two days ago now. Even if the dev's released a fix today, it would barely be regarded as a 'hot fix' by definition. I'm not concerned with the 'at the moment' so much as there is no "next hotfix"' at the moment, which could well mean they don't intend or have a hot fix planned and that they intend to delay this fix until the next patch.
As there's been very little communication on the issue, I don't hold high hopes considering by rights the listed issues should've been hot-fixed by now anyway. Y'know, a month after release.

Well Penguin I'm glad you've been in contact with them, helps set my mind at east at least. It's only been 2 days of unplayable bug game breaking disappointment, but man, things like this just make it feel longer than they really are. Makes it hard to keep things in perspective. Everytime I encounter this glitch, it feels like another day added onto it, even though it's obviously not. While I'm sure they're hard at work to fix this, my mind remians boggles as to how something like this goes unnoticed in the first place. Either way, I just hope they fix it soon. I just had a terrible experience in my last pug.
I was playing with a father and son, both with their own headsets, talkative, friendly, and an utter surprise to meet such nice folks through the randomness that is a random quick match game. It was just the 3 of us, and we were on routine (they were pretty new and I was on a level 1 keeper) We talked about how fun the game was, the great story that is single player, and the enjoyable dungeon crawling experience that multiplayer offers. One of the first things I mention however, was that we needed to make sure to focus on the animals, so a humanoid is the last to die, and not an animal. They were unaware of the glitch, and were very appreciate of the information. We continued along merrily, talking builds, strategy, etc.. when suddenly, after killing the some hyenas, only a stalker was left. They got scared at first, worried the glitch had happened. I told them not to worry, the stalker is a crafty individual, be on your guard, he'll strike at us soon. Sure enough, he nearly killed the poor kid with one hit. A quick barrier and a full draw from his dad's Archer made quick work of him. The stalker was dead (no, not an invisible or immortal 0 HP but alive stalker, a dead one) We sat there for a moment, when I immediately realized our time which was so enjoyable thus far was over.
I couldn't even say anything I was so annoyed. "The key.. it didn't drop did it" was all the dad said. All I could muster was "No."
His son was devastated. He called out to me like it was my fault: "But.. we did like you said. We didn't kill an animal last, we made sure it wasn't an animal that was last."
I could hardly respond. I felt terrible. It didn't even matter that I said words like "usually" and "mostly" when describing the bug. I felt like I let the kid down. The father said it was a lot of fun, added me on origins and said thanks for the all the advice but it was bed time.
I just kinda sat there for a bit before starting another match. This is kinda how I felt the rest of the night
