I like how different romances DAI offers, LI's and their romances are so different from each other which is intresting. I have only romanced Cullen this far, romance with him had touching moments although it was too cheesy and romantic for me overall (I don't care about that stuff so much though I know many does).

 

I'd hope that next game has "better" f/f options too, I'm not too intrested on either Sera or Josie, I have difficult time understanding Sera and Josie's romance seems too romantic and cheesy, even more so than Cullen's to me ^^

I thought we really lucked out this time around. They were all great. Normally I have one playthrough that really stands out as my favorite, but with all the romances being this good I don't know that I can choose just the one...

Yeah. I guess being mentally tortured and watching friends die at the hands of demons might do that to a person. I get the impression he was a bit soft hearted naturally and it nearly broke him. Luckily, he was able to get past that after several years. Poor man.

 

I know they haven't said straight out that this is right, but honestly, Cullen seems like he's dealing with PTSD. I'm not sure if they meant to do that, but it sure fits.

 

And yes, Cullen does give the impression of being a bit naive, or maybe innocent is the better term, at the beginning. Considering the fact he's dealing with the fallout from Ferelden and Lyrium withdrawal. I mean according to the codex IIRC people tend to die or go nuts after a couple months. Cullen's not even close to that stage.

 

And yes, his romance is wonderful.

 

Wonder if the Trevelyans and the Amells ever intermarried... Wouldn't be far fetched or less far fetched than being related to House Pavus .

So far I've played through half of Cassandra's romance, half of Sera's, most of Dorian's, all of Cullen's, and "all" of Solas'. So far my favorites (pending finishing some or playing other romances I have yet to) are Solas, Dorian, Cullen, Cass, Sera, in that order.

I have no special requests other then that first seeing Ser Barris made me want to side with Templars. So yeah....

I have no desire to romance Josephine or Sera. I like the characters. I just don't want to do the romances. And I know that everyone else on the planet likes Solas's romance... except me. I don't know why. Maybe it was a pacing issue. I certainly enjoyed the character, just not the romance.

Now I would like to see Nathaniel have a romance ark. Or Jowan  .

I think they did a great job with the romances. They all felt unique. And for the most part with a good amount of content, and different ways of approach.

 

I do like it when the LI is more involved in the main story in-game, however. Like Alistair or Morrigan. Or Anders and Isabela.

And TammieAZ, I adore Jowan! When I found out he was almost a companion I was like "nooo why not?" lol and Nathaniel was too good. Should have had romances in DAA or make him one in another DA game.

For me, it was more a personality thing. He's intelligent, polite, and nerdy. What's not to like?

First playthrough - my female Inquisition romanced Cullen.

 

On my second playthrough - male Inquisition romanced Josephine.

 

Third i Think i`m going for Solas but Iron bull seems fun to. ;P

Inquisition romances were so bad that they could rival DA2. I don't want any of this crap in a future DA game. More romances like Morrigan and Leliana are what we need.

Best Solas probably because my favorite character in DA:I I just wan more Solas, Second Cass it was fun. I didn't like Josephine disney romance, worst romance in DA please nothing like this anymore. IB was just joke.

 

I was also a little disappointed with the options for female Inquisitors, I felt they were a little too pretty and quite frankly a little easy, it would be nice to see them play harder to get and even spurn the main character's advances more often as surely the writers can come up with better reasons for the male companions to be in the game other than as eye candy for the female players.
