Only one request here - let DG to write one romance for women too.
In terms of romaces for women DAI is as perfect as game can be (any male player will agree
) even though none of the straight options is visually\audibly\behavior-wise is attractive to me personally I still have to admit that. So, DG writing is all I can think of as a desire.

@ Lady-Stoneheart
OK I'm sure you don't really believe what you wrote in the opening thread, but...
In summary what you are saying is that women in relationships should be treated like goddesses and have all the power where as men should have to work hard and romance ugly women. Why for example shouldn't a male inquisitor be chased by one of the ladies, I would have thought by your tone that you would support sexual equality.
(the male romance options where certainly not too pretty... I have never played a game before were I was romancing less 'physically' attractive women than I do in real life)
Sadly I feel the opening post is just laced with prejudice and misandry and the tread should closed.
It makes me inherently sad, that a lot of men like you: don't realise how manipulated they have been, by the media, to have unrealisitc expectations of women.

Oh god I hope not, Solas had a far too high opinion of himself, who does he think he is breaking off the romance with the Inquisitor? I am the Inquisitor, the Herald of Andraste, I should be the one to say when the romance is over not some elven hobo.
Are you serious? That, paired with what you said about Blackwall in beginning of the thread makes me want to believe you're trolling. At least I hope you're trolling. Because you're the Inquisitor you should have more power over the relationship? No, BOTH parties have equal say in when a relationship ends, at least relationships with healthy individuals, regardless of status outside of the relationship.

I'm a woman, and consider myself a feminist, so I'm a little perplexed by what you mean about the romances? I romanced Blackwall and didn't feel particularly disempowered. In fact, I loved the romance--I adore characters who have made a really horrible choice and make a concerted effort to be a better person, and I also thought the way he treated my character was respectful. I was pursuing him the entire time and had complete agency throughout the romance (beyond the fact that he was lying about his past, but I understand his reasons for it even if I really, really disapprove of his actions there).
I've purposefully haven't watched all of the other romances so maybe there's something I'm missing, but I'm a little baffled.

Simply Cassandra, like Morrigan in DA:O she fits into my story for the pc very easily nigh no matter how i play it, just a pity gender is a restriction tbh

I am aware of this. Unfortunately. They said in an interview that past romances are intentionally left out because since it's a new main character every time, they don't want to put players in a position where they would be "cheating". It was in this months Game Informer.
I would kill the Grey Warden with my bare hands for Leliana.
Yet it would seem cheating is fine when it comes to Isabella. Not to mention the possibility of a very single Leliana. Or the fact her lover had a child with another woman...

Just write great characters, only romances if they fit story-wise.
I rather take great characters like Mordin Solus over romances any day.
^This.
I have to say that Inquisition romances did came better than those orgies from DA2 and ME3 where everyone turned bi out of the blue. But there are still slight problems with them. Cassandra's was good but could be better if she also courted you (being hopelessly romantic is not mutually exclusive with being a strong and independent woman). And Solas' romance seems kinda like a pompous professor having a thing with his phd student (he being a pwerful mage full of himself, and the elven inquisitor allured to the mysticism of the Dread Wolf.)
Dorian is a great character and the fact that he's great even is he's not your type is proof that romance is not that important.
As for my favourite romance; I'd go with Cassie's because is kinda funny see her struggle with it. But is IMO far from Jack's good romance in ME2 which is to me the best romance in Bioware games.

In real life I don't think I have unrealistic expectations at all... in fantasy fiction... hell yes... I want to imagine myself romancing my perfect woman... and why wouldn't I. I really don't understand what is wrong with that.

Only actually romanced Cassandra, personally. I quite enjoyed her romance, although I felt like it could have used more content after the "big scene".
I don't find Josephine attractive at all, her mouth is disturbing and from what I've seen of her scenes I don't imagine I'd like it. Iron Bull is just a great drinking buddy, I don't see him a real romance choice.
However, I could see myself having a bash at a gay Inquisitor just because I really like Dorian as a character and he looks cool.
On a female playthrough I don't think I'll choose anyone but Cullen. Sera is just a horrible personality and Solas seems too aloof to attempt a relationship with.

My only request is that we kee the sameso the romance culd carry over.
I'm getting tired of "the hero has gone missing while his lover is waiting for him".
Seriously, just like when Leliana become a Divine while be in couple with warden but I read no where that she mentionned him when she is elected.
So dumb.

Speaking for myself, at least, I wasn't all too happy with the romance options for men in DA:I. I didn't feel any connection to any of them. I know this may sound inherently daft, and it's my own view on it all, but I'm not really a fan of large age gaps within relationships. Cassandra is rapidly approaching her 40's, which does kinda put me off her a bit, regardless of her physical appearance (Not to say she looks ugly, I assure you)
As for Josephine, again, I felt no real connection... and that fashion sense really doesn't appeal. Call me vain, if you like, but yeah, I felt rather 'meh' about her on that front. There was no real 'draw' there for me with her. Plus you can never trust an Antivan
.
Personally, I would have liked Leliana and Hawke to have been romanceable if they hadn't been romanced in a previous game. Comedy Hawke certainly draws me in with her wit and charm... and dat voice
. Leliana... well... my Warden romanced her, so she's off limits... but I can see why others might want to romance her with their Inquisitor, whether male or female. That's one advantage to Hawke and Leliana - They don't discriminate between genders, so they can be romanced by both the men and the ladies.
Anyway. Yes. That's my opinion. I would have simply liked more choice.

Are...are you serious? You want women to be put on the made up pedestal instead? To be treated like she-men, surrounded by a reverse harem of men for her pick and choosing while the guys have to work, tooth, claw, and blood just for a chance to hold their hands?
You don't want equality. You just want women to become the new medieval men.

I want a Dwarven love interest. Seriously. While seeing the scenes of a Dwarven Inquisitor romancing Iron Bull made me giggle a bit too much, would it have killed them to give Dwarves a Dwarven romance? None of the games have had a romanceable Dwarf and it's kind of annoying. I really like the Dwarves. I know the romances are 'secondary' but they are fun and generally very enjoyable for those of us who like to roleplay those kinds of things. So my request is for actual Dwarven romance options.
Edit: PS I COULD kiss them, however, for making Cullen a romance option. I've had a thing for him since DA:O.

I've only done two, Blackwall with my female rogue, and now Cass with my male Templar.
Cass is pretty good.
Blackwall? He's made a feminist out of me. All men are lying pigs. Girl power.

It's pretty messed up to think race or rank should give him less of a right to end a relationship he wanted over.

Having said that, I hope bioware includes more feminine love interests (cassandra is cool but scary and that jaw tbh. She is more classically handsome than most make LI's.) and pretty female LI's (like morrigan was. They need longer hair models. Nobody had hair longer than Blackwalls beard) maybe even more straight/bisexual female LI's. Straight Males had two options this time, which was always true in dragon age but with so many advancements and double the amount of LI's from origins I think one mkre would have been fair, unless that is considered catering to straight males.

Bioware is doing just fine with the romances, imo. They're making the characters interesting in their own right, even if you don't romance them. They experiment with different personalities, backgrounds, etc. I miss the mechanic that allowed for friendmances and rivalmances more than I expected to, but other than that, I think Bioware is doing a good job.

You could always romance Dorian or Iron Bull. Or roll a female character to romance any of the others. All of the romances offer really interesting insights into the characters, and are all worth doing at least once.

I think Bioware could make some better longer hair styles, but that's not necessarily specific to female LIs.
Cullen's romance was very sweet, Dorian's was nice. Trying Solas on my third playthrough now...he's interesting.
