Ok since the last thread got derailed by intolerant misogynists (no matter where you go there are always some)

I know right? It's like I just see them everywhere! And those pink unicorns, did you see those? They have spots... I see spot run. RUN SPOT RUN! Woah. Did I just turn into a misogynist? I think I might be! OMG misogynist Popes are running around the bathroom! SAVE ME SPOT!

@ Lady-Stoneheart

OK I'm sure you don't really believe what you wrote in the opening thread, but...

In summary what you are saying is that women in relationships should be treated like goddesses and have all the power where as men should have to work hard and romance ugly women.  Why for example shouldn't a male inquisitor be chased by one of the ladies, I would have thought by your tone that you would support sexual equality.

(the male romance options where certainly not too pretty... I have never played a game before were I was romancing less 'physically' attractive women than I do in real life)

Sadly I feel the opening post is just laced with prejudice and misandry and the tread should closed.

lmao I almost didn't want to quote this because I don't want to enable this ridiculous drama AGAIN but unless you're blind there is no way Blackwall, Solas and Iron Bull are more attractive than Cass and Josie, so get over it.

Sera. I expected a cringe-filled parade of unpleasant jokes and got something profoundly heartwarming.

Having said that, I hope bioware includes more feminine love interests (cassandra is cool but scary and that jaw tbh. She is more classically handsome than most make LI's.) and pretty female LI's (like morrigan was. They need longer hair models. Nobody had hair longer than Blackwalls beard) maybe even more straight/bisexual female LI's. Straight Males had two options this time, which was always true in dragon age but with so many advancements and double the amount of LI's from origins I think one mkre would have been fair, unless that is considered catering to straight males.

In all honesty straight males only have 1 female interest (Cass). Straight females have 3 (BW, Cullen, and Solas for Elves only, but still straight). IB and Jose are shared between males and females and of course the gay/lesbian only chars Sera and Dorian. At least with the 1st 2 games males and females shared the amount of love interests (1 straight for each and 2 shared). To answer the OPs question, Cass all the way.

Sera's, with my Dalish "Inky". Lots of fun of course, but a lot more thoughtful and sweet and charming than you'd maybe expect from it.

I personally find Blackwall and Bull hotter than Cass and Josie, but I'm pretty sure that's just my heterosexuality talking. My first Inquisitor scaled the hell out of that wall, and I'm looking forward to riding the bull on a future run.

I think that Cassandra and Josephine are both objectively beautiful, though.

I loved Cassandra's romance...which is amazing considering I didn't like her character at the start. I thought the romance scenes were very cute, and the relationship feels very genuine after with the way you interact in cutscenes.

I also tried the Josie romance and liked it to a lesser degree.

So far I've done Dorian, Cassandra and The Iron Bull. I like them all but for a male Inquisitor, I prefer Iron Bull, it's differnt' not frilly or romantic. Tough love so to speak but, cool for a hard nosed toon.

You could always romance Dorian or Iron Bull. Or roll a female character to romance any of the others. All of the romances offer really interesting insights into the characters, and are all worth doing at least once.

But I cant :/ my first playthrough has to be the most like me, so he always has to be straight. It's my rule.
And Dorian and iron bull aren't feminine at all so they don't cover those bases.
However, my original LI's were morrigan and Merril. The rebel mages. So...Dorian fits that trend, and he is my closest friend. Buuut he is with Bull and I don't like men.
I am definitely romancing him in a different playthrough though.

My main started off flirting with Josie, but she seemed a little bland for my human female mage. So before locking in a romance with her I turned her down and went for Cullen. As a married straight man I have to say Cullen...mmmmmmm, haven't progressed far enough on my other plays for a romance yet but my new Lady Trevmage is going for Blackwall(I won't lie I want to see Lady Trev's bewbs and see what happens with the Blackwall reveal).

But these are my opinions on the romances.

Sera: Absolutely love her sense of humor, hate most everything else about her.

Dorian: I love this guy's personality, I hate his mustache, kinda sorta hate his haircut.

Solas: I could sit down and talk shop with this guy all night, but due to the fact that I cannot look past the female elf's large head small frame syndrome I cannot make an elf go far enough for this tragic romance.

Cassandra: My male Trevfacesmasher is currently working his way up her tree, Jawline aside I really like her, more than I thought I would prior to playing the game.

Cullen: Absolutely adore this romance, Well done Bioware well done.

Josie: She's really sweet, I wish I could get past her Hannibal Lecter farva bean mouth, but I can't. Her romance I had to youtube and it was kinda bland for me.

Blackwall: Working on it currently.

Iron Bull: Not going to happen, even though I'm straight and willing to partake in romancing Male characters I cannot and will not be the submissive one. I youtubed his romance and the moment he said "Oh I'm not the one taking it" I immediately crossed him off any potential list.

Varric: This guy needs to be a romance, we can have a four-way with Him, the Quizzy, Bianca and Bianca I don't care, this guy is awesome.

But as others have mentioned I would have loved to romance Leliana, or Hawke, but my most wanted right now is Scout Harding for my Male Dwarf(he's all alone).

I am aware of this. Unfortunately.
I would kill the Grey Warden with my bare hands for Leliana.
Yet it would seem cheating is fine when it comes to Isabella. Not to mention the possibility of a very single Leliana. Or the fact her lover had a child with another woman...

Leliana is okay with that. She's weirdly laid back about that **** apparently. Fathers a son with another woman? Whatever. Marries some other chick and has me as a side girl? Sure. Wants a three way? Cool.

So far I've only played one, Solas, and it's good.

Now I'm playing a Noble Trevelyan and has a very hard time deciding between Cassandra and Josephine.... damn.

I romanced Solas my first play through and I loved it so much, I'm replaying my game trying to catch everything I missed. Solas may have ruined all the other romances for me. Loves me some tragic romance.

I might do Cassandra's romance next, since I really like her.

Cassandra's was good but it felt too short. I would have tried Josephine's but her obnoxious tongue rolling is too much for me. I can't skip her dialogue fast enough.

I want sexytimes with Solas--something more than a little butt fondle.

Spoiler

And Varric. I would do anything to get that man's affections. He is the *best*.

Aside from that, I have a bit of a thing for Ser Gilmore (perhaps it's the ginger hair).

I also came to like Nathaniel Howe, once he got onboard the "wow, my father WAS an evil asshat" train. Too bad he has a likelihood of being dead.

...though possible death doesn't seem to have stopped Leliana. Funny thing, that.

For my first playthrough I decided to romance Solas because my inquisitor was a female elf. After the break-up scene I was so eager to hear Solas' explanations that I rushed the end of the game, and I was disappointed. Of course, I know the truth, but Lavellan still doesn't know... I'm looking forward to more Solas content !

Still, I think it's the romance that best fits the storyline, and hey, it's quite satisfying to know you dated a "god", isn't it ? Bioware really favored Lavellans on that point in my opinion :)

I am currently on a second playthrough and I intend to romance The Iron Bull, but I think nothing can beat the first romance you have in a DA game, especially Solas'. Cullen romance seems cute too, I will try it with a Trevelyan mage I guess.

And for future romances, Nathaniel would be great (he was my favorite Awakening character), and I wish there were Dwarves romance options (another reason why I usually don't play as a Dwarf). And I want Varric and Bianca reunited at last !!

Cassandra I like because there are a lot of interactions with her and I don't always have to agree with her. Which makes it more real. Like when she crossed the line scolding Varric I could step in and tell her so, yet it doesn't ruin the relationship just because we don't see eye to eye on everything.

However Josie has that more feminine touch and getting to fight for the right to court her was pretty cool.

The one I would like to romance as a male inquisitor though was Sera, just because it would seem like crazy fun.

Only did two (won't be doing any of the others), Cullen and Cassandra. The former was well written as the inquisitor is more involved with Cullen's problem, overall atmosphere is of warmth and tenderness. Cassandra is cute despite that hard exterior she exhibits :D  and I like it.

Josephine, Cassandra and Solas are my top 3. I can't seem to narrow it down to one favourite, though. They're each just too good for 2nd place. :-)
