PS4 and PC only.  Not timed dlc bs like MS does...straight up not going to Xbox at all.

Not really baiting.  I feel that MS has done this crap since 360.  Sony didn't respond at all last gen.  Now its time for them to take their medicine.  It's a bad move for gamers, but the right move for SONY and their customers.

 

MS still has KI, but my god.  Sony just locked down Street Fighter!  If that isn't a gut punch I don't know what is.

Yup. Not touching this one. I have an xbone, and the whole tomb raider thing annoyed me enough. And I'll hold the same opinion here. 

 

But ultimately, I personally care little for either 'exclusive', and given headlines like 'Street Fighter 5 exclusivity - Witness the Hypocrisy', I can see this one's going places.

 

Nothing to do but break out the popcorn and laugh as this one unfolds then.

Don't forget that its also a Capcom game so expect overpriced DLC that's on disc.

I'm not a fanboy.  I don't have an alligence to technology/hardware.  I just hate the crap microsoft pulls and I like seeing them get a taste of their own medicine and sony doing it the RIGHT way.  And not this "timed" crap.

 

Either way I hate SONY because of what they did to the SOCOM series.  I was going to buy an Xbox ONE (what a name lol) I really was, until I saw all the bs policies they were trying to do.  I quit PC gaming years ago because of the constant problems and it just got too annoying.

What are you talking about, didn't do it last gen? Sony had tons of exclusives last generation. Of course sony had exclusives last gen, but I am to believe that you don't see the difference here? Come on now.  This isn't about Last of Us vs HALO or something like that.  You know that.

And as a matter of fact, it seems like THIS generation developers are finally starting to wise up to how terrible this exclusive business is. Even the Japanese.

 

I said its the wrong way for gamers, but its the right way for SONY and its customers. What makes it the right way?  Because its a business and they are in competition.  Microsoft chooses to throw their money around for these stupid few months timed dlc early things and stupid practices like that.  Anyone wanna tell me why you don't take all that money and put it into actual GAMES you know New IP? Sequels?  No instead you want 3 maps and 4 guns for COD 3 months early.......SONY let Microsoft pull this crap ALL LAST GEN and did nothing.  It's past time they started doing something themselves.  And its the "right" way because its not "timed", its straight up exclusive.

 

I never owned a 360.  I never got to play Mass Effect until recently.

To be honest, you just sound like you're mildly bitter and are looking to spite Microsoft.

This isn't a good thing for anyone but MAYBE Sony. A Sony customer gains nothing from a game being exclusive to PS. They in fact LOSE the chance for a more successful game, LOSE the chance for sequels or other people to play with.

Exclusives are bad for customers, period. Full stop.

Lol I'm coming off wrong then.  If I want to spite anyone, its SONY.  Years ago I played games every single day.  You could have asked me if I was a gamer and I would have said no.  It would have been the truth.  I was a SOCOMer.  It was literally the only game I played.  I bought MGS3 and it sat there and collected dust.  I never even opened it because I didn't care about any game other than SOCOM 2.

 

When SONY bought Zipper (the developer of SOCOM) things started going down hill FAST.  Until the abomination that was SOCOM 4 and Sony making the decision to shut Zipper Interactive down completely.  SONY killed my favorite game of all time.

 

I'm not bitter at all towards Microsoft.  I've never owned an X box in my life.  I WAS going to own an XBOX 1.....until I saw their policies.  I already didn't agree with their practices.  I think buying timed exclusives instead of making more games...especially first party ones is stupid and shows there are areas they are still clueless on.  I was going to look over that and get the console still.  I don't like HALO.  I have played it and its a kids game IMO.  I did really enjoy Crackdown though.  I think I might like Fable.

 

I agree 100% with you though.  If you're a gamer then you're a gamer and at the end of the day we all share the love and exclusivity is bad for gamers.  It's also not going anywhere though and as long as there are competing companies its going to be something to watch.

 

When I get a next gen console it won't be until there are enough next gen games that make the console "worth" buying to me.  I also want it to come with a TB hardrive from the factory with a  warranty intact. 500gb IS NOT enough.  I have been fighting my space for years.  I think ME4 will probably be the game that makes me upgrade to next gen.  There are already rumors of a PS4 TB sku floating around so I figure it will be out by then, because PS4 will be what I'm buying.
