I love all my Arelex brothers and sisters but I am not the way I am because of that. I was let in because I fit.

Side note, slightly bragging... Team SlimJim ( our team ) won the epic tournament. Not Bechters or Heroic, Slayin, USMC, Tatty, Goosh ..etc ( no offense gents ).

I also have a confession to make: I shwacked the Quarians in my first playthrough also .. then ended up taking the destroy option anyways.

I had the option for peace but I shot Pinnochio in the face just like I shot Mordin in the back (his fault for becoming a senile, brain damaged, bleeding hearted moron).

Was disappointed to say the least when puggernauts, lamer spammers and tryhard GI's (such as OP) still ended up in my lobbies.

Whether by destroy ending or the guns of the Flotilla, the geth have only survived one of my 10+ playthroughs. I will never forgive those scumbags for what cheating bosh'tets they are in MP and what whiners they are in SP. Hearing them cry about being "alive" is worse than reading MRA rants on reddit.

I wanted the peace option, but I didn't have the opportunity for it. I couldn't play through ME1 (as i don't own, and quite frankly, it is probably quite outdated now), and you needed to make specific choices in that game to be able to make peace in ME3

Quarksman raider> both

I was about to say this. Although Tsol raider, which is just as good.

FQE is not as good of a kit, that's the truth. But I never said it was bad, just not as good.

And wow, you specialize with it. If you aren't amazing with it that would be pathetic. No one called me out at all by the way... and I am not butthurt.

If your FQE could trump me I still wouldn't be butthurt, I would be in awe and humbly praise you. Too bad it most certainly cannot no matter how good you are.

Unless you are HeroicMass, Gollum, SlimJim or Panda ( the real Panda of the F3rocious kind ).

Back off kid...

First of all, there's only one real Panda, and it's most certainly not that douchebag of F3rocious.

Second, I would be inclined to say that if you think that someone using an FQE "certainly cannot outshine" you while you're playing a claymore GI, unless he's one of the players you mentioned... Then I find it likely that you have not played with enough good enough people.

Triple Also:

Krosol/Reegar/Incendiary/GC V >>> All

I really don't think so :P

I'm actually impressed this thread got to 5 pages this quickly.

It's been a while since we've had one.

Of course, it's unlikely to be a real e-Peen busting thread, at least until:

- A console player has accused of PC player of haxxing/modding

- Someone (namely me) angrily lays claim to having coined the term, "Thundadumb," and demands royalties.

- Disciple888 has challenged the thread's OP to a game, and played them.

- Someone finds someone's manifest, and points out a 6/6/6/6/6 kit.

- The infamous Link and Jay have both been invoked.

- Herr Couts disputes a minimum of 50 % of the posts in the thread.

- The word "scrub" has been used a minimum of 24 times.

If I can think of any more, I'll update... :P

While it may bring some bile into the mouth .. that setup is certainly on the shortlist of 'Most Powerful Kit Evah!'

Although the GT/Reegar/Incendiary is probably still king of the hill

Drell receive honorary mentions, as does the GI

I would advice you to get it and try it. It's by far the best game in the series, in my opinion. Most will agree it's far superior to ME3 anyway. And, as of a couple of years ago when I first played it, it wasn't too outdated to enjoy it, at all. Personal opinions of course, but I don't think it will cost you much to try it out. You might be surprised though :)

Depends on how you define powerful. If you're soloing, then yeah. If you're playing in a full team of competent players, then you will be at a disadvantage against some other setups, like GIs and Drell. Cause with no enemy on the map lasting more than 5 secs, instant damage >> dot, no matter how big the latter is.

You needn't even played ME1. We PS3ers didn't get it until ME3 was already out for a while and I got peace options the first time without even trying, despite having a basically full red jerk bar. All the choices contributing to that story arc were contained in 2 and 3. (Tali and Leigon LM outcomes, their ME2 argument, Saving Koris, cringeworthy geth propaganda film mission).

It is a little outdated but still fun. Just... don't think too much about the story.

In most of my playthroughs from ME1 to ME3 I chose the diplomatic, paragon, lived-happily-ever-after options only to get fucked over by the ME3 ending choices which are 1. needless sacrifice (Control), 2. galaxy wide rape as answer to a problem that already got solved (Synthesis), 3. blow everything up and kick civilisation partly back to the stone age (Destroy) or 4. throw away every single achievement from all 3 games and leave the decision to the next cycle (shoot the star brat in the face).

Nothing really matters. So while you missed out on an excellent game, story wise you didn't miss much if seen from a ME3 perspective. ;)

Apologies, I didn't quite convey myself accurately on this topic, I have beat ME1, on my now defunct X Box .. and yes, it was, IMO, the best game I had ever played at that time. The story was outstanding.

I think ME2 had the best balance of single player gameplay and story, in the series.

Overall though, while the ME3 single player was the weakest of the 3, the MP portion is the best video game I have ever played (hence why I have more hours than any other game ever - Including Oblivion!)

I need to get it and play it too.  I also stupidly deleted my ME2 saves* to make room for the ME3 download, so I should do a full trilogy playthrough at some point.

*That was a tremendous moment when I booted up ME3 and realized what I had done.  "YOU REALLY DON'T THINK BROWNGARGANTUAN, DO YOU!?"

I've played with almost everyone of notable skill in the past two years. None of the used FQE unless it was a joke.

Seriously. That said... my statement isn't all that absurd.

Ah I see. Well yeah, I was leaving ME3MP on the side cause, you know... I wanted to be fair to the rest of the gaming industry

I've played with almost everyone of notable skill on my platform in the past two years. None of the used FQE unless it was a joke.

It wasn't *that* absurd, but it still makes much more sense the way I fixed it :P

ME2 was much better. The story made more sense and the gameplay was better. Matter of taste though. ME was more space opera themed and gave you a specific road to take till the end. ME2 felt more free and more... fluid, because you didn't have to spend half an hour on each planet just to find a rusty medal.
