with the the new upcoming Mass Effect series coming in the future is an opportunity to play another great story and fight along with new companions and with the possibility of seeing old ones. the thought of a new story in the ME universe gets me exited but so too does the idea of meeting new companions that can be just as memorable as those in the past and this brought me back to other games made by Bioware and their companions i thought that were just as memorable as the ones in the ME. but what was your favorite companion that you thought Bioware fleshed out perfectly even if it isn't from the ME trilogy.

 

i don't know about you but the one that i loved to play along with was HK-47, due to the fact that he had the best scene of humor even though he meant every word of it and not only that he didn't refer to us as organics but "meat bags"

I find the companions I generally like the best have complicated pasts, are morally ambiguous, and have incredible depth. Too many companions in BioWare games can often be stereotypical and lack substance.

For ME, I'd have to go with the classic: Liara and Garrus but I really like all of the squad mates throughout the trilogy (except Jacob 'cause he's Jacob).
Dragon Age: Leliana and Morrigan in combination with Alistair. Alternatively Shale, who is just hilarious.

Tali and Legion. 'cause nothing's more romantic than taking your ladyfriend, whose people were nearly wiped out by synthetics, to a Cerberus facility that has been overrun by a buncha synthetics, and making her fight alongside a synthetic of the same type that nearly wiped out her people.  

 

Shepard is just so smooth.

Mordin. I'm a doctor and a scientist, so I saw a bit of myself in his character. And the way he dies is probably my favorite scene in the entire trilogy.

Despite adoring the ME raft of characters, I'm optimistic that new characters in the new game will work out just fine. Traynor, Cortez and Vega were all new in ME3 and they were all successes IMO.

That being said, Garrus is almost irreplaceable so good luck with that!

Liara has been my favorite since ME1. But Javik may very well be the best squadmate in the trilogy.

 

 

 

 

That being said, I don't want to see or hear from any familiar faces. The galaxy is a big place. Running into the same people in every game, makes it seem smaller and smaller. I'm looking forward to a completely fresh start with an all new cast of characters, on an entirely different type of journey.

 

 

I can revisit Shepard and crew whenever I want. But it's time for a new adventure.
