Has anyone run into this problem other than me? The game has so many areas to explore and missions to complete that you very quickly and easily out level the areas leaving huge gaps in uncompleted missions because you are so much higher lvl and there is no challenge by that point. I really hope they add some type of auto level feature which would adjust the enemies in the area to match your level or at least get within range for when this happens.

I don't see how it's possible to actually run thru all of the areas completing the missions and stay within a few lvls range of the enemy. I have not spent any time grinding as the game is easy enough as it is on nightmare. I was still trying to finish out quest in the hinterlands, but had to leave because I was approaching the max recommended lvl range of one of the areas you access in the war room (some part of the main line quest). I believe the first time it happened was when you meet dorian and think I was lvl 8 ish and the other time when you take the keep lvl 13ish. I still had insane amounts of side missions to do by these points.

Now I am lvl 15 and have maybe half of hinterlands complete and have barely touched the storm coast (maybe 90 minutes), about 20 minutes in forbidden oasis and 60 minutes in fallow mire..

BIOWARE PLEASE GIVE US SOME KIND OF SCALING ENEMY LEVEL. I don't see what's so difficult about this and so many of the other negatives on this game. It's still one of the better games out and maybe that's the problem, the game is good enough and that's all that matters. How hard can it be to have it set to where if you pass the enemy lvl range by a set point they then adjust upwards? Even if this is a on / off type of option when you start so those of us who want some type of challenge all the way can have it. The enemies are already in place all it would be is giving them more hp / higher lvls / higher armor / weapons. It's not like you need to recreate the game or something. There is no fun in running around a lower lvl area just to finish up some quest and not even killing enemies because they pose no threat.

Even if the game let you "reset" a zone which would then raise the entire area up by 2-4 lvl's, kind of like the dark souls system, but without resetting what has already been completed. If I got far less xp when I did this I would be fine as long as I can have some type of challenge when playing. I can't understand how some people find this game so difficult, it is far easier than the first 2 DA games.

I really wish they would fix this somehow and while they are at it give us real players a real tactics menu, even if it's a simple check box like basic tactics / advanced tactics. I just can't understand why they simplified and ruined the AI tactics to appease to those who are so bad at games like this, I guess it was just too much for some CoD player to figure out. What is even worse is that it would be so freaking easy to simply have an option basic or advanced. The developers don't need to completely remove one of the best features of their game, they just need to give the idiots who they are trying to attract a simple option and give the real players the option we should of had the entire time. Is it really that complicated to have a box that you check?

I'm not sure why you are bagging on the tactics as being too hard for people who already find the game without tactics too hard? Personally, I was looking forward to the tactics because I always found that they made the game magnitudes easier ... until the system was gutted. BUT, the important thing about them was that you could (and plenty of people did) play the game equally well with or without them which may be why they were gutted, no one advocated strongly for them and so BioWare felt they were maybe not used or something.

What I meant was that I felt that bioware left out the deep tactics from previous DA titles to appease to newer players who would find those options too complicated. Basically, trying to make it more action to draw in more non RPG or turned based tactical gamers. Just wish with like so many other games they would just give both options. Still a great game, but it's definitely simplified to pull a wider audience. Largest problem I have is that the AI is so random with everything they do as we have no real control over their choices when in combat outside of tactical pause all the time and even then they are funky. For example AI casting barrier at the start of the fight rather when party member "A" HP drops below "X" %. They seem to often choose the wrong skill to cast, we only have a skill off / on / preferred option. It needs at a minimum off / on, then 1st, 2nd and 3rd option.

It's strange because when i'm not in tactical view the melee fighters will just die fast if not controlled or tactical pausing. You can no longer set options like

when surround by enemies cast "x" skill....   when hp drops below "x" % cast "cloak"..

I could live with that I guess, but what's the worst is that we can't even control who are allies hit like if an enemy is burning / feared / panicked / etc... What's the point to have skills which give bonus dmg when you attack a sleeping / burning / panicked / feared enemy when the AI won't target them when said effect takes place?  It was so awesome in the previous DA that I could tell the rogue, when enemy is "staggered" cast skill "x" or replace staggered with whatever. They went from one extreme to the other which is what I'm not wild about. DA2 had such a deep complex tactics system that if implemented in this game I seriously doubt most of the new audience they are trying to attract could actually grasp it, but they did not just simplify that system or give an on / off option. They completely wiped it out 100% to the point of causing clunky AI and forcing to basically turn tactics off and constantly tactical pause if you want anything done right as far as targeting the right person and casting the right skill at the right time.
