KOTOR was an awesome game and took me around 55hrs to complete, Mass Effect 1 although far smaller in scale to KOTOR took me around 40hrs to beat...And now here we are with Mass Effect 2 a game I managed to have a go on and its what only 20-30hrs long???

Also Bioware you have taken out a lot of the RPG elements of Mass Effect 2 and just turned it into a shooter with some rpg elements why??

You guys are known for top end RPG's with Mass Effect 2 it still has static environements, nothing is affected by what you do and on top of that the dialogue is still poor, the characters still seem animated and on top of that you find out what is happening in the first 20mins of the game!!

The game from the get go does not feel epic nor are you feeling like it is an RPG things happen far too quickly nothing is explained in detail and overall after having just played the beta I feel you guys have just opted for a shooter.

Why even use the unreal 3 engine?? Its total rubbish! Come on Bioware whats the deal here? You make a great game which was KOTOR then release ME1 which was a let down in many ways and then with ME2 regardless of the top end reviews the game is clearly more of a shooter.
The first game had far more nice RPG elements to it which you have taken out of ME2 completely and replaced it with something soo basic its basically an RPG for babies.

I am very disspointed in Bioware having played DragonAge and think that game is awesome and is very in depth with lots of rpg elements and took me around 40hrs to beat ME2 is just a shooter, poor dialogue, poor animations, static environments, story on a plate handed to you far too quick and very short for an rpg.

Cool story well I played the game before any of you did and I know what I am talking about, if any of you are into RPG's and I mean truely into RPG's then you will know exactly what I am talking about. Its funny as soon as EA's name appears on any game it is instantly ruined.

Bioware why did you not just go to Microsoft instead??

ME2 is a hybrid shooter/RPG with the storytelling Bioware is known for. Accept it for what it is.

It may not be RPG of the decade, but it's still a great game.

You know you love it really.

Yeah EA own Bioware now but a huge mistake to go to EA worst developer/publisher out there the only decent game to come from EA was dead space and that is it.

No this game is not part of the story telling Bioware is known for it does not just grab you in, instead you are clearly playing a shooter, play KOTOR and ME1 even DragonAge they FEEL like RPG's and play like RPG's ME2 is a shooter with diluted RPG's elements.

You're comparing two different games. Obviously ME 2 wasn't going to be like KotOR or DA:O. As for finishing ME 2 in 30 hours...sure, if you skip all the N7 missions, loyalty missions, don't scan any planets and skip through all the dialogue/cutscenes.

For the record, both KotOR and DA:O had static environments, poor animations and you found out what was happening within the first 20-30 minutes. And there's nothing wrong with removing poorly implemented, tedious and redundant 'RPG' elements from ME 1 to focus on improving the combat. Just because a game is labeled as a traditional RPG doesn't make it any better than a shooter. Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Far Cry, F.E.A.R, Call of Duty 1 were all shooters and they're all highly acclaimed and in some ways, even better than ME 1.

Hang on so when someone comes along to give their opinion to show Bioware the dedication of a gamer who has played all of their games as I have played Jade Empire as well I am suddenly a troll? It seems to me you are one of the sheep that just keeps their mouth shut and stops developers from listening to feedback from the gaming community in order to better improve on future games...

Sounds to me like you've just skipped dialogue and rushed through the game. I'm 35-36 hours in and I haven't even assembled all of the teammates, I've also got all of the teammate's personal quests left except for Miranda. It's all your fault for rushing.

No Bioware themselves stated that ME2 is 20-30hrs long.

I find it much longer than that.

Didn't they just mean that the main-quest took you 20-30 hrs?

ME 1 sure as hell didn't feel like a 'proper'/traditional' RPG, unless traditional means tedious micro-management through a horrible inventory, driving through repetitive terrain, walking through uninspired and poorly thought out levels and interiors, having to waste points into half a dozen pointless abilities, clumsy and sluggish controls and gameplay/combat that bored people to tears.

Oh, and there is no hard time limit for completion. The fact that you finished ME 2 in 20-30 hours does not mean that everyone else will rush through it.

Yeah, the main quest line. So if you're gonna skim through that on easy, sure, enjoy your 20 hour long game.

Oh and for the record, you aren't criticizing Bioware's game. You're just ranting that you didn't like it as much as others. You barely state any facts or how to improve on any of them.
