Amen to that!, i think TA4Life intentions to do just that was to skip thru the dialogue and the side quest to rant how short it was, remember there still are DLC for the game coming soon.

It took me nearly 30 hours to beat Mass Effect 1. I just took my time playing it. Looks like 40 to 50 hours to play Mass Effect 2.   I'll take my time playing it. Suck the game in and enjoy it. Not like our MR Original Poster who cannot last 5 minutes in a bed with a shiela.

Yes, RPGs are like fine wine, they should be explored and taken slowly to fully enjoy all the things it has to offer. Not sped through like a speed racer. Although I would like to point out if doing that is anyones thing in these forums that is their choice but I bet those people won't be like the OP whom seems to be claiming to be the 'masterpiece' searching person whom instead spurted to the finish line to fast.

Edit: @Geth Colossus in my first playthrough took me 45 hours, in my 2nd playthrough with BDtS added on, it took me 44 hours, current playthrough I think is going to seriously shave on that time, the difference is, I know where everything is and am actually just breezing through the game unlike the first two times when I took it nice and slow and soaked in the game.

I imagine the same will happen with ME2 and if Jesse Houston is to be believed it will probably take me about 67 hours (as he stated it is about 50% bigger than ME)

from reading like 2 pages from the game . . it seem to me that people ae getting very confused on what an classic rpg is and mass effect was FROM THE VERY FIRST ONE if you have played bioware games you know it doenst start with Kotor there's a litle thing called baldurs gate and neverwinter knights. . . now . . . what we have here is a branching of a genre . . . you have a rpg that uses a strategic system of pause and command liek dragon age which is true to the anute of baldurs gate and neverwinter knights and you can say jade empire and Kotor, but lets just call dragon age origins the spritual succesor of aldurs gate . . .now you have mass effect which from the very beginning was an effing shooter . . . did you engaged in combat just to activate abilites or did it prompt you to fire a weapon take cover . . . etc . . . now idk about you but it was clear from the beginning mass effect was a completely different thing . . .its not effing Kotor its not jade empire and its not effinf baldurs gate for that matter, , , and by believing it you (whoever reads this) are an idiot. . . lets get the facts clear . . complaining ME2 isnt anything like jade empire or kotor itslike saying yeah well im pissed of at soccer because it just doenst play like football . . . .now not saying ME 2 is the best game ever . . . but goign out and complaining about staples the ME series was brought up like its beyond stupid . . . complaining about how it is a shooter IT ALWAYS WAS A SHOOTER . . .it was just too cryptic and stiff . . now they refined it ... alas Me is not a pure rpg is a mixture of both so lets not go all out and say what celarly are stupidites



everyone is entitled to their opinion but please . . . at least show some knowledge of the genre and bioware before ranting about how much mass effect sucks . . some educated opinions wouldn't hurt every now and then

With a mix you can either have the balance right or you can add too much of either one.The first one dipped into more RPG.The second one sounds like its dipping into the action more.The right balance differs form person to person so some people*by reports of others* are starting to think the balance isnt right.

Or so i guess.

You should just accept it as a shooter and move on. That is what I did, and it is much easier to to accept the game for what it is: a third-person action game with dialogue.

its a good game but it doesnt deserve all the hype, they should of streamlined it the way they did which is great but not strip all the depth out of the game, ie statistics, character building, weapons and such, dont get me wrong i love this series but i feel the console influenced this game way too much, come on were not all 15 year old kids, i think they blended the two genres together quite well but they did strip some stuff that should of stayed from me1. Just my thoughts dont get me wrong its awesome period.

I think that it is ridiculous that the OP can't have a personal opinion of his own views on this game without being harrassed, bullied, attacked and called a troll. It would seem that the usual suspects of the bully fanboys have changed their names but not their spots. I'd love to know why no moderator seems to step in ban, or give a vacation to the bullies who are trying to harass anyone with a non positive review of ME 2.

'Truth Will Out' with this no matter how many times you try to squash the people that have valid points that ME 2 is a shadow of its former self. The bullies know who they are and they need to cut it out because if this isn't a democratic community where everyone has a right to their own opinions and moderator say nothing to the bullies then what message is that sending to everyone.
