My computer keyboard keeps telling me that is how to spell it whenever I type it fast, but my spell checker disagrees. Hey if the dictionary is happy to start including classic texting short forms I want to make a change as well. Languages need to get with the times.
I want to change the spelling of the word 'the' to 'teh'..

English was at once considered "a crime against the Latin language"
A new language is forming.
Or perhaps a dialect.
A nightmarish one.

Considering English is basically just a Western Germanic dialect that's been mongrelised, repeatedly chewed up then patched back together, and oftentimes just McGyvered from scrap parts and hacked-off bits of other languages, it kind of is.
Let's not make it even worse, shall we?

This is only tangentially relevant, but according to research done at Cambridge University, people are able to read words even when the order of the letters are completely wrong, as long as the first and last letter are in the correct place.

Well the nightmare that is even worse for you chaps and chapettes is when people do those experiments with a paragraph in which only the 1st and last letters of each word are correct and it is readable. The brain is such a wonder clump of grey gooey matter.

Sorry, I'm happy to "pronounce" 'the':
De in Latin language
Die in German
So make the spelling one of these two!
