I did the unthinkable and went the the retailers website (in my case impulse)

Release Date: January 26th, 2010 at 10am Pacific Time [countdown: 0 days 9 hours]
Pre-Load Mass Effect 2 on Impulse starting January 22nd so you can play the game the moment it releases.

http://impulsedriven.com/masseffect2ce

steam says:

Available: January 26th, 2010
This game will unlock in approximately 14 hours

wow that really makes sense... I guess the Deluxe Digital version really pays off when people who pre-ordered the regular editions are playing while for all of us who spent the extra cash have the grand luxury of waiting till 10am. Real Nice.

Release time is the same for both with impulse dunno how you came to that illogical phallacy.

Its not bioware's fault there is no brick and  mortar shop doing midnight sales in your area...

Oh there are such stores in the area that are having midnight openings, I just chose to get the digital version. If at the time though I would have known I could have been playing it now had I gone to the midnight opening instead of getting the digital version I probably would have done so.

Wow. And to think I bought it from EA store instead of Steam because it said "download first, BE THE FIRST ONE TO PLAY" ... sigh, and now this 10am pacific time bull****.

This is BS, release date check? My friend who pirated the game has been already playing the damn thing the whole day, and I'm stuck on a retarded release date check. This is your fault Priestly, isn't it? Yer so evil.

How does EA ALWAYS fail with these things?

I bought the AWSM SUPER DELUXE edition too and it seems im stuck with the EU release date..

So people be happy if u have to wait a few hours, i have to wait TILL FRIDAY because my order went through switzerland, why? NO IDEA

I agree, they should've been smart enough to realize that people will want to play this game ASAP and set up temporary servers across the nation. Or at least understand the midnight concept which has been a staple of gaming and nerdism for a looooong time. Here's to getting a half day when you were expecting a day and a half.

In other news, is there a way to get my game's product code? I'd like to register it but can't seem to find any info regarding any codes etc. I'm even wondering if I'll get the additional content without supplying some kind of code.
