Speaking of thrones, I wish the sitting animation didn't look so weird.
My Inquisitor always looks like he's been dining on a bit too much of that roasted meat they've got lined up in the hallway while he's judging people.

Andrastian is my favorite, but I'd love to find a Dalish one.
My one problem with the Andrastian Throne is that I want the flames to be a bit more....more? Like Some flames out on the side or something. I don't know.

It's funny that there's Dalish stained glass windows, but no decor (that I've found) or a chair... I didn't know Dalish made windows. 
Also, where does one find Decor items?

Circle throne is pretty cool too.
Also, you get Mage throne after helping Viv with her personal quests!
That one, unfortunately, does not have armrests. So it doesn't fare well in judgement cutscenes.I like this one

The sitting animation depends on which throne you use.
Personally, I think the Circle throne looks awesome, but only when fully upgraded. Just by itself, it's crap.
The Inquisition throne is the best all-rounder, I think. I don't like the texture of the backrest on the Dragonmaw Throne.
So the Ferelden one is alright, but it covers a lot of you during judgements, which is annoying.

Where did you get the Andrastian Throne? Is it like a DLC exclusive or do you have to do a certain mission to get it?

I think that one is for Cassandra's companion quest regarding the missing Seekers.
I am currently using the Andrastian Throne because my inquisitor is a devout Andrastian.
At first, I thought it was just flames but it does show Andraste aflame.
Sitting on a flaming Andraste feels wrong

That would imply the Dalish ever had a kingdom from which to sit on a throne and rule from! *giggles maniacally and runs away while stealing breeches*
in a few months someone on the PC will have an Iron Throne mod.
As if those default daggers&spikes had no resemblance, at all....
I like it, though. The only one that makes sense to me. Inquisition is supposed to be the 'neutral' side, on it's own.
This might seem like a silly question, but does the skyhold customization impact approval? i.e. if I had a Tevinter theme, would half my companions hate on me?

Not that I've noticed. I've used the Qunari throne, windows, and drapery and no one ever made a comment. With that being the case I don't imagine it makes a difference.
How do you upgrade them?

Upgrades drop randomly from some of the war table missions-mainly the resource gathering ones from what i have seen.
