It was pretty funny but it wasn't a particularly great game.
Why not?

In a screwed up year were most of the games were in 5/10 and 7/10 score area, Inquisition easily won, no surprise.
Rivals:
Divinity: Original Sin
Endless Legend
Alien
Mainly 8/10 games.
Don't forget Dark Souls 2 blasphemer!
Okay, it's not an instant classic like Dark Souls 1, it had a few flaws but ultimately it was just as enjoyable if you could overlook the level design and the fact that From downgraded the game.
It's certainty GOTY for me for providing 6 playthroughs and counting and IMO, the gameplay is more enjoyable than the first. Shame about the levels.
Man! Jonathan McIntosh has gone nuts on Twitter over the fact that TB won an award!
wish wolfenstien would have at least got something though.

Sorry! It was early in this year, I forgot.
I stuck before superbadass demon bosses...
Also Wolfenstein was a 8/10 game.
For me I'm mostly amused by Dark Souls 2 in fact this year.

What's TB?
Bethesda said a couple of days back that they weren't announcing anything, though I guess the point is moot now that the show is over.
I assumed they could be lying, people have been asking them if they were announcing Fallout 4 at the Dorito Pope Awards every year since Skyrim. What would they say if they actually were going to?
What's TB?
TotalBiscuit.
What's TB?
Totalbiscut won trendy gamer of the year.
Johnny Mac, producer and writer for Tropes vs Women, is mad over it for reasons.
Why not?
The mechanics are simple, combat is fairly easy, the town is a little small. There's not a lot of side content, it's not particularly replayable, etc. It's a well made game where you experience a South Park story arc as if you were playing the show. Good for what it is. Not really GOTY material IMO especially when you take into consideration the price.
Divinity: Original Sin was my personal GOTY, though the amount of exposition was overwhelming at times.

I've never seen someone who is so blind to his self projection.
But Alex Lifschitz wins the North Atlantic Ocean Saltiness Award for this:

wow, that dudes a major tool.

^ a compliment by an ogre.
South Park is just an overhyped game.

I don't really know much about TotalBiscuit but if he pisses off Jon McIntosh then I like him already.
I had forgotten about South Park the Stick of Truth and I thought everyone else had as well. From what I saw of it, it didn't look any good. It was linear RPG experience with battle mechanics that couldn't compete with Original Sin, the rival turn based RPG, well so say the reviews. I find South Park's humour too childish to even bother trying the game. What's funny about a gay man flying out from nowhere and sticking someone up his bum? That's just immature and disgusting and that's exactly what South Park's humour is half of the time, that or shock humour.
What's TB?
Jim Sterling senpai's celebrity waifu.
I thought the VGA's got cancelled because nobody gave a ****. Or is that VGX? I dunno they are all practically the same thing.

I like your attitude.

They'd most likely maintain silence as they seem to like to do
This years Video Game Award show blew in my books, I'm not even going to bother watching next year. I had sworn off it after the Joel fiasco from last year (I swear he was drunk), but I decided to give it another chance since it was technically a reboot on it.
Bleh, nothing caught my interest. I was hoping for some sort of Star Wars game announcement, maybe some new footage of Arkham Knight and Until Dawn; just something interesting in general, but nope, I was bored nearly the entire ride. ![]()

They are. Geoff Keighly rebooted it after the cluster.... of last year. This time it was only available on the internet because none of the tv networks seemed to think it was worth picking up.
Why not?
The gameplay was just like a JRPG. A generic one at that. Nothing else stood out besides it capturing the spirit of Southpark which as I said was the best part about it.
Lol at thinking a JRPG would get nominated for anything. This is the VGA's it's practically just time for the big publishers to pat themselves on the back with the occasional indie off on the side.
