Best advice: Look in crates, be sure to check the cliff by the wrecked galaxy map (datapad if that's too vague), the cockpit, around the escape pod, also be sure to look in the cryo pods, and the mess hall... those are some easily missed ones. just look for the shimmer

The escape pod is hard to miss. You probably just didn't recognize. It has a big SOS on the side.
But, if you didn't break the crates, then that's where they are.
I don't care for the new map, because I can't zoom on it, and there's too much stuff. I never liked having a map in new places, so that makes it more interesting, but I sure miss my radar.

It's there, but ... you have to hold Lshift.

Lshift is the same as your pause combat power wheel button I'd guess.

I still want my radar. (Which I get in my wheel, but it's a pain to keep checking.)
