120+ hours on PC and the only bug I encountered was unable to switch to other party member. Even that I only encountered once, and solved with a simple save and reload. And it was on an almost 5 year old PC. Maybe do a quick check on yours? Sometime things like outdated graphic driver would cause crashing too.
Yeah, I don't know why people come on the forums to just throw negativity around. But whatever, I'm satisfied, and at this point, that's all I care about.
Haters gonna hate man.

I seriously need to get out of character creation and play the game, I'm nearing 50 hours, but still working on my character face, and have been for the past two weeks.

1.) That is not how that works. A bug is not minor because it is rare. There are common minor bugs and major rare bugs. The two are not connected. If 1% of the players experiences a crash, and 99% experience some minor visual hiccup at some specific spot in the game, the bug that 1% of the players experience is still a major bug.
2.) Your anecdotal evidence is not proof of rarity.
3.) Where are you even getting the idea that various crashes and freezes are rare to begin with? There's a LOT of people reporting them here, and I'm sure others not on here are experiencing them as well.

Ok, of all people that are playing the game, what is the percentage of those getting crashes? Also, why are those getting crashes while the rest aren't?

I didn't start actually playing the game until some days later, because I created my first character like 20 times, lol.
My system is new and drivers up to date.
If you haven't checked on your video card vendor's site, you might take another look. I have a driver manager that said all my drivers were up to date, but i started seeing some visual glitches, so went to the nvidia site to verify. Lo and behold, a new driver ready to download.
Whatever the issue is, I hope it gets resolved quickly, and that you are back in the game enjoying it as much as I am soon.

Sure, let me whip out my survey equipment and ask every player of this game if, when, how, and why their game is crashing.

All I know is even a quick glance at the Tech Support forum shows that crashes and freezes of varying sorts are pretty common.

I do understand. I understand that nobody over there reads this. They simply do as the suits tell them. They look at sales numbers, not feedback. It's a waste of time even posting here, having an opinion other than "Bioware is a god" gets you either banned or ridiculed. What's the point?
You know I missed the toxicity of this place. The running tirades of how horrible things are. Now if you go over to the ME3 side of the forum there are only a few of us, and we have reached a consensus that the ending simply sucks and all that goes on is discussion about degree of suckage. No one even takes a Liara hate thread seriously anymore.
But here, it's a different story now. There are legitimate complaints, yes, and I have a few myself. The game is not perfect, but it has an epic feel to it, some great voice acting, and I think it's well put together. I like the open world feel - even though it's more like open areas. The areas are huge. TW3 will do exactly the same thing and you guys will give it rave reviews. It will have autodialogue and you guys won't complain.
Congratulations Bioware. ![]()

Everytime I click "Test voice" she keeps saying, "As long as it gets job done, I don't care about the rest."
I realized she's been talking to me all along...
Annoying that a thread celebrating something good about BW automatically gets filled with "DA:I SUX & your a idiot if you believe differently" comments, can't people just be happy for BW for once instead of bashing them & accusing them of stealing the award with bribes ![]()
If the game music played, the conversations happened, and the textures loaded...I could agree with this award. Those are all pretty important things, though, so no way I can support this as it is. This has to be rigged, somehow...

Buy a new HDD or SDD.
There's also the usefull and useless feedback.
But who is to judge which of what? Do Bioware need yet another brown noser, or do they need to be told where some of us think they went very wrong? Do they need more flowers stored in their attic, or a kick up the jacksy?
Bioware is working hard on a patch for the PC. It is only 3 weeks since the game was released. Nothing is a simple fix. They have to make sure that what they fix doesn't break anything else in the game. I feel for people who aren't experiencing the full glory of the game on their PCs. It is working fine on the XBox 360 - but alas I am not experiencing the full detailed graphics of the game so I should be complaining like mad here over that because my outdated console can't handle it. I'm not, because I know the issue. Maybe in February if everything goes okay, I buy a Xbox One. Then I buy the game for the Xbox One and see what it is supposed to look like.

When games like Skyrim win these awards - or FO3:NV - it's pretty clear stability is not a criteria.
I agree that between a stable great game and a buggy great game the stable one should win, but it's not like we've really (IMO) gotten both a really stable and really great game this year.

This is a usefull feedback:
Before I start, I need to explain that I do not believe in 7-10 rating systems. i believe 7 is a very decent game, and that a 5 is nothing to be ashamed of.
0 - burn it with fire
1. absmal
2 - terrible
3- (very) bad
4 - below average
5 - average
6 - above average
7 - much above average ... good (very good)
8 - greatness, stellar, etc
9 - almost flawless.
So if I give a game a 7, that is actually a large compliment. If I give it a 8, it probably blew my mind.
For reference, I'd give DA:o (probably my favourite game of all time) an 8-8.5 and da2 (a game I thoroughly enjoyed) a 7.
now onto the review...
7.5/10.
DA:I is a very well thought out game. On paper, it should be amazing- goty. They took everything they did wrong in da2 and tried to fix it (small, reused zones, lack of party communication, paraphrasing small scale, etc) and they improved this by introducing skyhold as a hub to talk to the party, fixing up the dialogue wheel, making an AMAZING open-region game, etc. and on paper, da:I should be the best in the series. There are, however, things that hold it back from greatness.I'll go through the pros and cons.
pros
-The world is vast and the zones are gorgeous. I usually do not care about the world/enviornments themselves, but in DA:I, they were undeniably beautiful.
-the dialogue wheel was improved and paraphrasing wasn't an issue like in da2
-While flawed in some ways, combat was surprisingly fun.
-The cast is very good. (characters, party, etc), although I did not develop an emotional attachment to them.
-While many will disagree, I feel sidequests were much more relevant than any other open world game. (i VASTLY VASTLY VASTLY perfer da2 sidequests to skyrim)
-the story kept me engaged
- there were a lot of very interesting companions and I appreciated the return of "talking to your companions at any time" as well as the return of the party camp (skyhold)
cons
-the controls (especially taccam) leave much to be desired
-I feel unattached to my party. At the end of DA:O I felt deeply taken back by saying goodbye to my friends and whatnot. In DA:I, during the course of the game I had my party calling me a friend but at no point did I feel it. the relationships were not paced well nor well built. They were great characters and I like them in theory, but the emotional bond isn't there.
-the main story seemed EXTREMELY short. The game took 90 hours but i feel like most of it was filler or sidequests. I kinda feel like if the filler was removed it would be a <8hr story
-A good amount of the sidequests felt MMO-ish.
All in all, I think DA:I should have been great, but it just lacks a soul. It lacks an emotional bond with characters and the inquisitor and minor control issues take away from the experience. I think next time they need to work on that, aswell as put more focus on the main plot itself and have more interesting side quests that involve the companions (none of them even say anything about the sidequests in da:i)
I would have enjoyed this game 1000x more if I had developed bonds with my "friends". a Bioware game is a character game and without feeling real emotions, it kind of ruins the (whole idea of) the bioware game for me. I did not feel emotionally for my LI, nor my friends.
-lack of choices that change anything.
Even with these flaws, A:I was very good and enjoyable.
75/100.
His review (aka feedback) included the bad and good.
This is not:
What a crying shame, someone might mistakenly take this seriously when considering purchase. Poor sods.
Who cares what a couple game award judges think!? What matters is up to the individual. If you like the game game more than any other game this year then it's your goty. If you don't like it or it ain't your favorite, then it's not goty right? We don't need some fancy show award validating or contradicting your opinion. Think what you want to think! Don't let these media types control the mob!
