Games as with as many bugs as DA:I shouldn't even be nominated.
Wait so nice and polished releases with relatively few bugs shouldn't even be nominated?
Well, guess there won't be ANY game of the year awards anymore.
Overall though, DA:I definitely deserves this. Most other titles this year were relatively "meh", at least DA:I is impressive and ambitious while everything else feels too safe for the most part.
what a shame....
Congratulations, BioWare!
While I don't think the game is perfect in any way, has too many glitches and some bad design decisions and wonky combat, I'm still playing it, so something must be going right.
I'm enjoying the world and the companions, both a huge step up from previous offerings, and the crafting hits all my OCD buttons. And flaws aside, the production value is ultra-massive, so thank you a frak-ton for that. There's such attention to detail in some aspects that's just lovely. Has anyone ever mentioned how great it is that your followers' cards on the character select screen change depending on what happens in game? I really like that kind of detail.
And even when a result may not be optimal in every aspect, the huge effort that went into this deserves accolades.
Congrats Bioware!
How was it decided? Judges or voting?
Judges. Lets just say, EA winning at the VGAs surprises no one.
Any other game winning would be laughable and very suspicious. Dragon Age was easily the best game this year.

Games with as many awesome features as DAI should be nominated.
Good thing most people know how to judge a game based on the whole package rather than "what is missing" or "what is wrong".
Congrats Bioware, hands down the best game of the year.
Still waiting for that patch though... ![]()
Congrats Yacht Club Games, hands down the best game of the year.
Glad we are on the same page.
Joke aside, gratz to Bioware for also getting an award. *snicker*

Tell me the last year where EA won VGA
Congrats at BioWare, a well deserved award, and i LOVED the video with Varric and Cassandra and i got to say Cullen fans probably hug the screen.
VGA, its judges that have been bribed by EA to win the awards to boost sales before Xmas.
Dark Souls 2 and Bayonetta 2 where more deserving, both games had time to prove themselves and got their patches, not DAI
And rightly so. Far and away the best game of the year, and all these whiny complaints on this board are just pathetic.
A game of this size and scope, and with so few bugs, it is a remarkable achievement. And don't give me the 'but I can't play this game because....' just get a decent machine and look after it. It's that simple.

Travie got owned.

Why, when was the last time EA won it, hmm?
Happened literally just a few seconds ago from me posting this, discuss!
Congrats Bioware, you deserve it!
Link, or it didn't happen.

Judges looking at the site for the award.
Anyway Golden joystick where it is voted has more weight than this 'game of the year 2014' where it can be bribed.

Sorry Spaceweed10, size and scope, really its no big deal. I played Lineage2 on my own private server which was just a spare PC I had, DAI is the same. Bugs are plenty and I dont feel like writing them.

Round of applause for our nominees in the Tin Foil Hat Of The Year and Best Designed Tin Foil Hat categories.

Thanks ZipZap2000, I Designed a better Tin Foil Hat than BioWare joke of that offline MMO
Akward moment when I haven't even got playing it yet cause how buggy the PS3 version is. Idk, I guess DAI is game of the year when it's bug free and all pretty with it's glory. It seems to be pretty great when it works. But I'm not sure if it's there at the moment, not at least for me and many other players.
Only shows that the competition was fairly weak this year. TBH, South Park Stick of Truth was a better game if you are into the TV Show, but obviously it lacked the hype that DA:I posesses.

Cant blame you to want to play it, you paid for it after all. No choice but to wait, for sure it will get fixed, matter of time.
