So, the worst game Bioware has ever made got a GOTY award. How amusing.

Although it doesn't mean anything unless the game gets like another 100 GOTY awards... which will definitely never happen. xD

And to the low-life youtube commenters:

'blah, blah, blah, arrow in your face!'...

Wonderful news and well deserved (and GOTY+ with the patch)....

OT I know, but the extent to which you seem to be invested in defending Bioware against any charge marks you out as someone not worth listening to.

That reasoning though.

Oh wow, these forums are a tad toxic at times...

Anyway, congratulations for Dragon Age! Totally deserved their win, glad I watched it live via stream :)

I may or may not have laughed at shirtless Cullen. And it was almost 7am.

I'd write a post explaining how your implication makes no sense, but that would be OT.

Keep fuming though.

Well considering that you're the one who started this exchange, it's more appropriate that you PM me your points first :)

Anyway Golden joystick where it is voted has more weight than this 'game of the year 2014' where it can be bribed.

People can vote for games at Golden joystick that are not even out yet (GTA V last year got a shitload of votes months before it was released).

Do the opinion of people who have not even played the game and only seen trailers weight more than those who have? =/

I made my point in this here thread sweetcheeks. In any case - to confirm - it's clear that your willingness to defend all things Bioware against any charge marks you out as someone not worth listening to.

And your response to that would be?

Congrats Bioware! :)

The game is not without it's problems, but it's still a great game, and will hopefully only get better after a few patches.

Congrats tho. I just want you to release some more hairstyles and fix the bugs people are reporting.

Inquisition was a good game, but GOTY?

With all the MMO fetch quests, game-breaking bugs, poor PC controls, awful multiplayer, and painfully short main storyline?

Inquisition was a good game, but GOTY?With all the MMO fetch quests, game-breaking bugs, poor PC controls, awful multiplayer, and painfully short main storyline?

The MMO fetch quests are independent entities in the game. Their presence does not detract from the overall experience. If you hate it, avoid it.

Ignoring the fact that what is considered gamebreaking is often a subjective viewpoint, the actual bugs that break the game are few in number, most attributed to driver issues rather than the game itself.
Such bugs always exist on multi platform games, especially on the mutable PCs. One cannot expect all technical aspects to work seamlessly in a game of this scope.

PC controls work as intended. They can be remapped to your liking. Missing features like walking will be added shortly.

Awful multiplayer is a subjective argument. Many enjoy it and it does exactly what it advertises itself as.

Bioware games do not revolve around a linear plot. Companion and zone quests are as much part of the storyline as the core plot. Companionship is the theme of Bioware games.
The actual length of the core plot is no shorter than DAO and definitely longer than ME2., both considered good RPGs.

Your complaints are nice, but hopefully you can see that one should judge an entity based on the entire package, not solely on the negative.

These guys lurking in here bashing DaI's achievements: you are annoying, if you do not like the game at all play something else. go play skyrim (that was indeed overraded ) or  Da:O or whatever.
You insult the devs for their hard work; which you must admit: bioware put up a ton of hard work in 3 years for Da:I .
Everything else is lowtalk.
You bought the game , finished it and you don t like it? fine, move on.
Lurking here undermining their success is one mane wrong things gamers do for their hobby.

I kind of did, actually

No one is perfect. ;)

The timer wasn't that bad, but it revolved around an idea that it was OK to fail on your first play through that doesn't really exist today.

If you don't tell Bioware what they did wrong, they won't be able to fix it.

Paying customers of this game are well within their right to come here and voice their complaints about the game, just as much as those praising it.

I've bought the game..but have I completed it? Um no because of a game breaking bug that Bioware aren't even bothering to keep us updated about.
