Got the game installed.  Tried to log into the cerberus network but it fails to connect everytime.  I know it might be because of a lot of people logging in but Im wondering if its another problem I have.

For some reason on my pc I cant get ANY of EA's support sites, resetting paswords, some forums to work.  It always comes back as timed out.  I can view the store and download manager just fine but anything that has to do with some type of support it times out.  I cant even retrieve a forgotten password without it timing out.

I know my internet is fine, no problems with ANY other website at all.  I can access the support sites using my iphone and my houses wifi connection.  Its just on my pc I have this problem.

Would this have anything to do with not being able to access the cerberus network?  If so is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for any help!

you would think that they would be quicker about this. I wonder if they are just all celebrating the not so successful launch and kicking back easy while we get frustrated. Sorry, that is not fair. The game is GREAT, but this crap with the Cerberus network is really being handled terribly.

Found this link but to basically the same problem I have.  I think I used Advanced system care's internet booster.  I used the restore setting and it didnt help.  I also uninstalled it to see if that would do anything and it didnt.  I cant view any of ea's support sites using Firefox, IE8, Chrome or Opera.  This is really frustrating.

Hi koremanmusic.

So far not seeing any of the online services going down, but we are hearing reports some users having issues with redeeming codes. Believe me, we are watching. Mass Effect 2 has only been released for a few hours with all the midnight releases. Its a lot of information to take in and trend. We just have to listen to our player base. :)

3:30am here... sorry no celebrating yet ;)

Thanks for the response Ryan but like I said I don't think its a problem with the servers, I just hoped thats what it was. I think it has something to do with some settings with my internet on my end. Like I said I have NO problems with any other game servers, or internet sites. Just EA's sites. I can access the store (where to spend money lol) but I cant connect to any of their support/forum sites. It just times out.

I time out every time while in game trying to see if I have the same issues as everyone else with the codes. Honestly for me Im not in no hurry for the launch DLC but it concerns me that I wont be able to get DLC later or patches or whatever if its through the cerberus network.

Im pulling my hair out, whats left trying to figure this out but to no avail. I havent even played the game cause Ive been scouring the net trying to find a answer. I have found numerous issues with people having issues with EA's servers but no answer that I found yet.

I have never messed with my router. I have very limited skills when it comes to pc's. I can buy, install shoot :)) I havent had any issues with games connecting to servers that you download in game. I have several EA games but none of recent I play online (pc). Is port fowarding simple? Im using windows 7 home premium 64bit all up to date.

Hmm so it isn't the same ports that DA:O used? I never had to mess with anything except allow DA:O through windows and another software firewall, I have a router too and never had to open any ports manually in this case, but for other older games.

Found the readme. Opened my router settings. Is this tutorial the right way to open them? Where do I put all these numbers in the tcp ports to open or the udp ports to open? Here is the link to the tutorial I found: http://portforward.c...00/Echolink.htm

TCP 42100

TCP Port Range 15200-15300

TCP Port Range 9945-9994

TCP 80

I am also having this problem. Dragon Age connected without a problem. I've forwarded the ports and no change (really shouldn't have to, to be honest..), so not sure what my next step would be. It seems odd that EA support site would be having trouble as well, especially as EVERY other site I've gone to has worked fine.

HEY ALL CHECK THIS OUT WOO!

http://www.portforwa...p/portcheck.htm

Works for me i'm opening ports now. My problem was I was entering the wrong Ip address. For example I was entering 5559 when it shouda been 5554. That's not the ip address just an example.

The free program shows you which ip address to put if you have zoom x dsl modems/routers!!

This has nothing to do with ports. I'm not able to connect from my dmz with all my firewall rules disabled.

The funny thing is if you put the wrong password the game connect somehow to the server and tells you wrong password but when you use the right password you keep waiting forever until get a time out.

I opened the ports. I used port checker and it says all are open but still cant log in. Plus still cant access any of EA's support sites at all through my pc. They all time out just like it does when trying to connect in game.

Not sure but I guess my pc dont like ea's servers?

I'm still please waiting too, what's messed up is that I literally created this account in the game, and it still won't do anything other than sit there on the screen.
