I did some more rooting around and I think for me its something on my end too. I have something that blocks certain EA's servers/websites. I opened the ports and nothing. I know they are working on them but I was having this problem before the flood of forum posts came in.
I just went to my sons pc and asked him to log into support.ea.com and he had no issues. I still cant. Anything having to do with EA's support or forums I cant access. I cant even retrieve a lost password.
We are on the same connection. Im wired and he is wireless. He is windows 7 also. Man I am stumped!

Love how people who pirated the game are playing all fine and dandy and i cannot even get my DLC ****. Funny, I could have saved 60$ and gotten what I have now. Absolutely ridiculous EA, You're support is absolutely terrible, it's infuriating.

I've opened ports, nothing. My preorder code doesn't work either on this site.
yeah, it's funny that pirating games seems to be the easier method

Michael:
Opening said ports does not help with connecting to the EA DLC servers. Removing a router altogether has the same effect.

Dont even bother calling EA for any support. I have been on hold for 1h45min and it just keeps telling me to try online chat support. I would but I cant even access that site. It just times out.
I will say this. Im impressed with BioWare's support thus far. Not sure its their fault ppl are having problems but at least they are on the forums doing the best they can. Shame they had to team up with EA.

Also on windows 7 and wireless. It's odd that Dragon Age connects without a problem, and yet Mass Effect 2 doesn't, possibly that how they have their servers configured doesn't agree with a setting on our computers, but for the web page to not work either is very odd and leads me to believe that its something new they've done. Could be older hardware on our end, or something. I wonder if the Dev team can give us any more help, how ever small.

They've announced that there is indeed a problem and they are working on it. I would not bother with the port settings until after they announced that the servers are up and you still cannot connect.

OS system windows XP.
Figured I might as well make the double post by accident useful.

It's a known issue, and absolutely not one on our end. I've tried going so far as to put my computer on my router's DMZ (completely bypasses any firewall or port settings) and still no luck.
I guess all that we can do is wait.
