Yeah, not much in the way of competition but still good on them. Of course, everyone will say EA bought the award though. ![]()

Congratulations.
Hearthstone, Shadow of Mordor, Bayonetta 2 and Dark Souls. Man this was disappointing year.

Well done!
Though not to be a downer, but don't dozens of events and publishers have their own game of the year events? I dunno, Game of the Year just never seemed to mean as much these days as it used to - at least for me. Still it was well earned!

Congrats Bioware!
Bayonetta 2 was the other one I considered on that last. I didn't play it, but my boyfriend did and he loved it.
Hearthstone? Uh, get off that list, thanks.
Shadow of Mordor? Eh maybe for some, but I dunno.
Dark Souls? I'll never touch it so whatever.

Look at it this way, higher chance of a game of the year edition being made with all the future DLC stuffed within ala Ultimate edition DA:O

Get ready for the crapstorm of people crying out in outrageous outrage because Bioware/EA obviously paid off the judges to talk this game up.
*ahem*

Oh I'm not naysaying it at all. Just putting out my personal perspective on the award itself. Frankly if earning it gets the employees nice little bonuses for their work and earns them a better chance at DLC then I'm more than happy. I just - personally - feel as if the award itself has lost a little meaning these days as literally there's dozens of publications that give out awards by that title. So you can have quite a few 'game of the year' editions for a single year, all from different award shows.
