Too early to celebrate, a lot more work to be done on the game. Celebrate when there is no more work to be done.
Seems the loud minority are finding it hard to come to grips with.

In truth games are never really ever finished. There will always be something to fix, it's virtually impossible to get rid of every bug.
I predicted it would get GOTY way before release. It's always nice to be right, and congrats to the devs. ![]()

Isn't this always true?

I remember an article from what I think was Game Informer about five to ten years ago, talking about much the same thing. It listed bugs in terms of priority, effect, how hard it would be to remove, and so on and so forth. What bugs are addressed and which ones are left alone out of sheer necessity is really eye opening. I wish I had saved my copy but it was pretty much DOA after a plane trip.
If anyone missed the bit with Cass and Varric, you can see it here.
"Buy my book"
Hard in Hightown semi confirmed?
Starts at 2 hr 38 m 44 s
That was an excellent presentation all round.

Grats Bioware!!! You guys deserve this one!
Is this their second? I can't remember if they won another one aside from KOTOR.

Yep. And sometimes fixing one bug might introduce others. It's a never ending cycle.

Usually they don't get it shoved in their face so quickly or forcefully and still try to save face.

Play the game with keyboard and mouse. Then you will understand why the game is incomplete. Bugs being in the game are inevitable with a game of this size. The complete lack of keyboard and mouse functionality in all facets of the game are what makes the game incomplete.
You wouldn't be very happy either if you bought a new Ferrari only to find out it had the dashboard was missing and it had the transmission of a 1983 Ford Pinto in it.

I do in fact play with a keyboard and mouse, and the game doesn't feel incomplete at all. I've played all Bioware games on PC, and hadn't the slightest problem with controls or gameplay. The controls reminded me a lot of SWTOR which was also a big plus. I think you're use of hyperbole is a little excessive.
2014 is the year of mediocrity and re-releases for video games.
Dragon age won simply because of a lack of competition. Dragon Age to me is my GOTY but It still has some design flaws that I personally dislike as well as the technical issues on PC.
Dark Souls II ring a bell? Not only did DAI have them beat on GOTY, but also RPG of the year.
I have played Inquisition 164 hours so far and still playing constantly.
Can't remember any other game I have played this much this year. Original Sin was great but short so yep inquisition is GOTY in my books indeed.
Never did vote in it due to lack of good games. If witcher 3 was in it it would definitely win instead of DAI.
Oh look, someone riding the Witcher hype train.
Seriously. Witcher 3 is unreleased. You have literally no clue about the quality of the story, the gameplay, the scope of the game, controls, UI, number of bugs, or anything. And yet you'd declare, game unplayed and unseen, that it would win GOTY. "Definitely". Because you're psychic.
I'm looking forward to Witcher 3 myself, but comments like these are just... smh
Congratulations, Bioware, on a well-deserved award. You really put a lot of heart and soul into DAI and it shows.
GOTY and The Best RPG! Congrats to the whole team!
Honestly tho, IMO, Best Score/Soundtrack should've gone to DA:I as well, but I guess Destiny's sountrack is pretty decent too...
EDIT: LOL @ shirtless Cullen, BTW. "You do know why people play our games, right?" "For our thought-provoking exami... umm... "
Well played, BioWare, well played.

I must have forgotten the part where SWTOR didn't have tooltips, since gamepads can't hover over an icon, or that inventory system you had to up and down arrow down through instead of a grid system, because, again, gamepads...
My analogy still stands because DA:I on a high end PC is a Ferrari, it's absolutely gorgeous and a great game, but it still has that Pinto transmission in it and if I wanted a Pinto Transmission I would have just bought a Pinto to begin with. My Ferrari is incomplete until I get a Ferrari tranny in it, which in this case, is a UI and Tac camera that actually utilize the mouse and keyboard and the ability to do simple things, like map buttons to my mouse...
Congrats to dev team!
