I'm very happy Bioware won for a change. DA:I is my personal pick for GOTY as well. I want nothing more right now than for DA:I to be a commercial success, so hopefully this will help.
That said...and I know I'm gonna sound like a jerk here, but the competition this year wasn't exactly fierce. DA:I is GOTY to me, because it really was imo the best game released this year. But at the same time, one of the reasons is because the bar was pretty low. There are a lot of flaws in DA:I that hindered my enjoyment of the game, and by winning GOTY, I'm hoping the devs won't ignore any criticisms they may receive from the fans.

Now how about a patch for celebration to get rid of numerous bugs that pester this game ? My game stucks since one week at a cinematic dialogue that won't finish, thanks.

Well deserved. I just need these bugs / crashes fixed, and I'm set. I also want a sweet expansion with a few new zones, rather than DLCs with mini stories.

I'm very happy for the DAI team. May they all get raises. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a game this much. I've got well over 100 hours in the game with many more to go before I finish. I have several areas that are completely untouched. At this point the game almost feels endless. I like that in a game.

Lots of issues with the game. But I still think DA: I was so fantastic overall that this is deserved regardless of the negatives.

Gotto agree, it is more a case of there was nout much else to give the award to tbh, games like WoW/Halo/COD you could say defined a genre for years an broke the mold, i sure hope Skyrim didnt do that for single player RPG, DA:I although i like it is put into my category of could have an should have been a hell of alot better

I pray they won't sit on their laurels now and not improve all the things that need to be improved. It is a good game but it really could stand some major improvements.
I am enjoying it and will play it more but I hope their future endeavor improves vastly upon this one.

Congrats Bioware. I think you deserve this even though I'm not personally all up in arms about how good this was (it's a good game!) it's definitely the best game I've played this year next to Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney
