I recently picked up the unique staff Bloodwake. I put a rune on it right away, then went to craft a grip and blade. And then kept getting "Error: Item Modification was not successful." Anyone know if this is a bug with the staff itself? Or something more general? I'm trying to conserve materials for now to finish upgrading armors, so I don't really want to waste some to make more upgrades to test on other weapons...

That happened to me as well I believe the Devs said they were looking into it. Is the item level of your staff still the same? Mine seems to have dropped from 18 to 15 and I am doing 15 less DPS...

Same issue with Bloodwake, i have already salvaged one blade and grip thinking it was them, but it didn't work with any others. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

I remember reading somewhere that it is a visual mistake. Bloodwake can only have a rune in it. I could be wrong tho.
