I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, I'd love to have more adventures with my Warden, but on the other hand there were plenty of people with completely valid complaints about how their Hawke acted, and it would bother me if my Warden's personality and motivations were tampered with.

the thing is, the warden's story is far from over. Not all of us killed off our HoF. There is SOO much potential for a revisit to our hoF. The Calling needing to be dealt with, Morrigan and her child. People... I'm sorry but you need to just get over your hatred for the thought of your HoF being redone differently then you imagined because your going to be missing out.
First off his or her looks. So maybe you can not accurately remake them how they looked in Origins. But keep in mind its been 10 years since you last saw your hero. They are bound to look different. I would imagine my HoF to perhaps have some grey in his beard and have a few scars.
His or her voice. Unless the actors are all dead, why not get a couple of them who did the multiple voices from before and have them act out the new lines? Or hire actors who sound similar? Its not like the originals said much to begin with. But perhaps give us options like in DA2 with three types of attitudes.
And the story. What is Flemmeth up to? Or Morrigan? Or what happens to the child if there was one? Or the happy marriage of Morrigan and our HoF... or utter cluster mess of what ever you ended up choosing to have happen. We can't discuss such a key character looking into the Calling like the HoF and then just cut them out due to personal opinions on voices. I believe there is more reasons to do this then there are not to.
I would love a story where I could reconnect with my HoF on his search for the Calling. And have interactions with his dear old mother in law Flemmeth. Of course his sweet wife Morrigan and his child he so proudly raised. Not to mention he is still the king of Ferelden how be it an absent one... But he is one all the same. There is just so much potential in all this and this is but one way. So maybe your hero dies and you never bought Awakening. Still now you create a default Orisian warden who took part in Awakening and you play him or her instead. Morrigan perhaps has a child with Alistair or Loghain. Or what ever you decided. But its still got some great potential.
I would gladly take a DLC or game with my HoF in it even if he didn't look exactly like my Origins on, or sound like I had imagined he would. But just to enjoy the experience, I could overlook these.
After all its just a game, and games entertain me.

What does it really matter? The universe has already been butchered and retconned to bits. Cast Schwarzenegger in the role and Gaider will tell everyone that's how everyone was SUPPOSED to imagine it.

If you honestly don't want to play it because the'll just screw it up, that probably means dragon age is alreayd dead. I for one would want to see them try, and rbing back my hero, instead of giving me heroes like hawke and the inquisitior, who never quite filled the warden's shoes.
Bioware has been clear from the get go, that DA is about the Age itself and the events, not the individual protagonists. The story of the dragon age is just being told through the eyes of various protagonists.

No, I do not think we should play as an old character. We could see the Warden again; that would be nice, but overall the Warden's story is over. Like with Hawke, DA:I involves him/her, but it is not his/her MAIN story, so we do not play as them. I think playing as the Warden would be a bad idea, and it definitely will not happen.

True, but the Warden's MAIN story IS over. He/she stopped the Blight and the Architect and Mother. That is his/her main story because that's the main thing he/she has accomplished. There is nothing extremely significant left to know about the Warden except their research into curing the Taint, and this is not something we need to see because there's no main villain, no huge danger we have to save the world from. It just doesn't work.

while the HoF didn't "talk" during cutscenes or dialogue, he/she would still say certain phrases when selecting an action so it's not like they weren't voiced, just not fully.
So they could add an option to the keep where you set what voice set you picked for the HoF (cocky, sultry, experienced, violent etc.) and then go from there.
Lest we forget "can I get you a ladder, so you can get off my back!?"

I think the Hero of Ferelden is similar to Reven at the end of KOTOR and then continuing on for KOTOR2. I believe we will never see them again until a crappy Dragon Age "MMORPG" comes out and brings the Hero back in the fourth expansion in three years.

I don't really need to see the Warden to feel satiated, but I don't understand why letting us see the Warden is as big a logistical issue as it's made out to be. Just let us use the same character generator we used to to create the Inquisitor and let us chose from the same list of VA options as the Inquisitor (minus the one we are currently using for the Inquisitor). This way they don't even have to hire new VAs. I'm sure some people would wig out about their Warden not having the accent they want or something, but to me this is a total non-issue. Alternately, I don't understand why the Warden can't just have a default voice like Shepard or Hawke. Nobody freaked out in either of those cases. Also, I don't really care if talking to her is fully animated or not. Standard dialog mode would be fine. This would eliminate the need for animating 6 character models with 8 iterations of the Inquisitor.
*Edit* I don't really want to play as the Warden again, but I wouldn't mind seeing her at all.

It would be pretty cool to bring back the warden as the player character in the next game along with all the followers from DA:O and Awakening. I dunno, aside from Zevran (who i was indifferent to) i liked the entire cast of DA:O and awakening.
Or rather giving the choice to play as the warden, Hawke (if he lived) or the Inquisitor as the MC, and the others as follower characters. Though that's assuming the next is the final.
Though i do understand that since the warden wasn't completely voiced in DA:O it could prove and issue and a large order to fill.

The Warden having not been voiced in DA:O is no obstacle to the character having a cameo in DA4, or appearing in DA:I DLC. An easy solution would be to give the Warden the character creator treatment like they did with Hawke in DA:I, but with the added option of selecting between two voice actors per gender.

First of all my English is not very perfect because im Brazilian, so i translate this text in google translator, if you read some grammar errors... sorry, but let's get down to businessI loved Dragon Age Inquisition, but the part of the Hero of Ferelden really pissed me off, so I kind of thought, why dont you make a DLC where we play as our Warden trying to find the answer to solving his calling, so we import our character, we can customize him, this customization will have some voices, where we can choose, can be a couple per class, of course voices that fit each class, so our Warden will finally have a voice and you can put him in other stories in the future, and perhaps at the end we can see him returning for our romances, because not showing him is starting to get boring, needs to be solved, and I think that would be the best way.
I agree and would like to see this. Only problem is my class no longer exists in DAI for my warden so he would be stuck using weapons he never uses. ![]()
