In my >100 hour playthrough I haven't seen him a single time. (Granted - most of these hours were spent outside Skyhold)

The guy passed me on the steps leading down to the dungeon at one point. Another time he was standing in one of its cells. I actually spoke to him once on the upper landing of the Skyhold tavern; the same level that Cole occupies. Other than those instances (across two separate playthroughs) I've never found him again, even running back and forth to his known hangouts as often as possible.

 

I answered his first query correctly, but frankly whatever esoteric algorithim triggers subsequent encounters with this bozo is either broken for me or has proven extremely hard to duplicate?

Is there anyway to talk to him while he is in the cells of the dungeon? I've found him once alread in one of the run down bedrooms above the garden/courtyard. Now I've found him again locked in a cell in the dungeon but can't take the quiz.

On my first PT I found him once and was never able to find him again. I'd really like to complete the quizquisition but I'm worried if I can't talk to him in the dungeon he'll disappear forever again.

I found him once behind the stables near Blackwall and twice in the little room with the barrels in my chambers. Riddles were easy, if you played DA:O and DA2 and paid a little attention.

I got the Spoon but have yet to use it.

if you dont want to look for him all over the place try quick saving and loading right next to him. i got all three question in this way

No big deal missing him. He is basically an elaborate easter egg, like the weird lady in Hissing Wastes who gives you that bow if you find her enough times.

I didn't know that Oo I saw her a couple of times in my PTs but stopped talking to her. Now I know better ^^ Thanks!
