ME2 Problem with my 360 Profile/Gamertag

Hey everyone.

I just purchased a Collector's Edition Copy of Mass Effect 2 at my local Wal-Mart.

Well, upon booting it up and reaching the start screen, it gives me a message "A Sign in Change has Occured, Sign out of your gamer profile to continue."

Well, the problem is I have not signed out, in, or have taken any such actions. I simply booted my 360 up, signed into my profile, booted ME2 up, and then this.

Now, this does not occur everytime. Sometimes I can get in, manage to reach "New Game", "Import ME1 Character", and after that it does it.

And even more oddly, other times I do manage to start a new game with my imported character, only to have to sign out, but my character is still there... But as I play throughout the game thus far, the same "Sign In Change" message occurs...

If anyone has knowledge of this problem please do let me know. Thank you in advance.

P.S: The in-game menu will not allow me to save, load, or view the map.

Also, having been playing, the in-game pause menu does not allow me to Save, Load, or view the Map...

My import utility won't work. I have about 4 ME1 finished characters and none of them are loading.

I had similar issiues as OP, but I've found what's causing it.

The problem is as follows:

if you have an offline account on which you play ME2 - all is good and working.



BUT

if you have an LIVE account and at the time of starting ME2 you ARE NOT CONNECTED to Live [ie. network cable disconnected form the console] - this problem appears. Game ask you to log out due to a change in signin in. The, after you log in [but are still disconnected from LIVE] you CAN'T import any character, because the same message appears - a problem with signing in.



So.. Either:

1) have an offline account;

2) be always connected to LIVE

3) wait for BioWare to patch this, as it's an obvious omission on their part [probably they didn't test it];

Helped a ton. In my case I have a LIVE account with an expired subscription, and the closest router doesn't let me fully connect to LIVE. So I just unplugged my wireless receiver for my 360 and it worked.



Thanks, and I hope for everyone else out there to get their problems fixed...

I m going to try this now, i couldn't import my ME1 save game cause of this issue.

EDIT: Playing offline just fix it.
