When I buy boxes I don't get potions I actually need or don't have.....i still get healing potions and it still sits at 255. Not a fan of this.
Grrrrr.......

What's the cap on gold?
lol. you'll have to ask our PC friends that one.
I know the feeling. Wishing there were boxes with just gear in it.
At least in mass effect, once you maxed out it would stop dropping
So, what your saying, even if you capped out the potions at 225, you STILL receive them???
Which means, your now getting negative items. I'm guessing this was probably an over sight from the devs.
Originally broken in ME3 MP, and was fixed to prevent any item at the current cap from dropping. It's good to know that Bioware did not learn from their previous mistakes and has chosen, instead, to repeat them. DAMP is a step backwards from where ME3 MP finished.

That's the motto for the whole MP package sadly.

At minimal 100K. I collected that much before spamming the store.
There's a cap limit on the amount of items you can have in your inventory (total) when purchasing from the Store. You will still however still receive your in-game rewards from playing missions (as long as that is not a capped item like potions). In other words, if you receive the "You inventory is full" dialog, you can still get weapons and whatnots if you're in a mission. I'm not however sure if there is a total cap on number of items, so I wouldn't push my luck on seeing just how much you can hold.

especially because ME3 MP didn't have this problem. I'm beginning to wonder if they didn't listen to anyone on the ME3MP team...
where the hell is bro jo when you need him?

Oh I am sure they have learned something from ME3MP, they even said that they have guys who worked on ME3MP working on DAMP now........
.................................cough 'guys that worked on the in-game microtransaction of ME3MP' cough..........
Help us Bro Jo your our only hope

Thermal clip packs kept dropping for me...
You sure you got it maxed? Coz it stopped dropping for me after I got it maxed out.

Max cap for items is 200 (soft cap meaning if you go over it in a mission, it will let you receive it.)
Potions are not counted as items though; they are consumables which have a cap of 255 (it was the same in ME3 MP).
Welcome to the Mass Effect 3 store system; where you can have all the consumable damage and defense boosters in existence and not a single ultra rare weapon.
