Even though the Qun has people like that and Vivienne reminds Bull of the Tamassran

Tamassarans wear ridiculous clothes, are power hungry political snakes and look down on the common with disdain ?

I am sorry but apart from her horned hat, I do not see how Vivienne is reminiscent of a Tamassaran. Have you seen her body, she is skinny ! Qunari women are tall and quite buff.

Why on earth would a Tamassran be tall and buff? Tall, granted, may be a genetic attribute of the entirety of the Qunari race, but she would more likely be rather skinny (for a Qunari), since she is distinctly NOT bread for combat.

You realize there's more to being a Tamassran than being tall and buff right?

In the Qun women serve as politicians/beauracrats or teachers, both positions of power. Add to that Vivienne's own ambitions and demeanor along with her magic, which many Qunari fear a great deal, and his reactions become exceedingly understandable.

It's about interpretting the lore and culture of your companions rather than shoehorning them into archetypes like "BA 2h warrior" and "Skinny mage woman". The characters are so much more than that.

Like others said, some writer thought it'd be funny if big badass guy acted like a pansy when the arrogant ****** is there because she's apparently supposed to be scary.

Am I really the only one who is not the least bit intimidated by Vivienne?

No. She has no power in the Inquisition and I believe she dislikes it.

Who wouldn't want Vivienne to step on them?

I- I mean...

I was about to type something similar, but then she said, "don't be absurd, dear. Just like the post instead." ...so I did.

Because deep down the iron bull is a sub and Vivienne is a natural domme. No seriously, he enjoys being hit a bit too much.

Being an arrogant ****** doesn't make one dominant or strong

Arrogant is just a side effect. She's a natural boss in every way and dominance in a relationship does not neccesarily extend to sexuality. Basically he's seen the alpha female in the group and acts accordingly. Say what you want of the inquisitor, but he/she isn't the alpha type who likes to boss people around.

It's meant to be cute. Just another reason to bury an axe in his face.

If Vivienne was in Kirkwall telling the Arishok what to do, he wouldn't have ended up a stain on the Viscount's floor.

Qunari relationships seem very centered on power dynamics among other things. The Sub/Dom dynamics are not strictly sexual either (think about Saarebas and Arvaraad). Bull is a Dom with the Inquisitor (in the bedroom at least) but he's known to be flexible, while Vivienne is a mistress. I think what is going there is a non-sexual non-romantic Sub/Dom dynamic. The Bull is used to it, can work

In your Inquisition yes. In my Inquisition, Vivienne is the only one together with Cassandra and Varric that support the Inquisition the most.  I've circle mages, templars and  most people join the Inquisition as agents because of them. These three are the ones who contributes the most to the Inquisition.

The rest... are like nothing they are actually sticking around to be safe... Ironbull is a bodyguard, that's it...Unless he betray the Chargers that way I'll have the Qunari at my disposal.

Dorian I wonder how the Inquisition will help restore order with just one tevinter mage who is not loved in his homeland, Sera bleh... Blackwall is a thug and a nobody too, Solas nothing,.... just talk and advice.

Tamassarans are self-assured, domineering, do not like to take "No" for an answer and if you screw with them in any way, they have the power and willingness to end you without hesitation. Those are qualities they need to have to keep the Arishok and the antaam in line, to prevent them from "burning everything in sight" as Varric puts it (an assessment that Iron Bull agrees with).

These are also the precise same qualities that Vivienne has in an abundance. We see this demonstrated in her introduction scene, where she freezes the noble who was insulting the Inquisitor, casually strolls into the room and asks what we want done with him, showing she's prepared to kill him despite having witnesses present and could follow through with that threat without recrimination.

That player can't make their Inquisitor to be like this is actually a bad thing.
