There's a book in Villa Maurel as you enter the study to your right. Unfortunately, I cannot read it since right-clicking on it does nothing.

Same experience on PC.  Tried everything from rebooting the game to right click to F...  No joy.

On PC. Above post gave me an idea. Drag Right Click pointing on the book and press f like mad.  Move the pointer and you can read it eventually.

Same here, with the same book. It looks like the "access point" for this item is misplaced, so when you're clicking the book the game acts like as if you've clicked an empty space.

I'm reading through this thread and seeing you guys say "push F" and thought, "why are they trying to search if they know it's there?" Then I realized I remapped search to F and activate to R! I don't recall having that problem though. Sorry. Just thought I'd share the funny.

With latest patch as of 09/01/2015 the Book/Codex is still extremely hard to read, Previous trick helps but thats not how it should have to be done.

If you switch to tactical view this usually fixes the problem. Clicking it like a madman sometimes works but I've had no issue once I switch to tactical view. I would still consider it a bug but with that bit of info you shouldn't have another issue.
