Since the OP, there has been some great new content released by the community. In particular I'd recommend "Black Scourge of Candlecove" and the epic "Untold Tales of Tolkien" series. The later easily rivals any of the official material for depth and immersiveness.

Well, I think MoW and MoB are both awesome! So let's just throw dirt at Storms of Zehir. XD
Seriously, though, I find it amusing that both campaigns have masks in the center of plot. ( not so much in MoB if you don't want the best ending, but still... Who doesn't want to get the best ending just once? )
If you're looking for two-three good nights, alas, not in the Neverwinter, then by all means try Mysteries of Westgate! Some of the side-quests made be remember fondly how I maimed and murdered through Shadows of Amn by... careful choice of dialogue, deep and gratifying plot, unusual yet colorful setting and, of course, all sorts of villains who can't wait to lead you through unimaginably painful exposition of their cliche villain plans, the fact you can shove in their faces together with a well-placed sword or two.
Don't take my word for it. If you played NWN 2 but didn't try MoW for seven freaking years (?!), now is as good time as any.

And through no fault of Ossian!  Their work on Mysteries of Westgate had already commenced or was already finished before Obsidian announced the plot of Mask of the Betrayer.  An unfortunate coincidence.
