Dealing with enemies that camp the hack?

I've noticed this most with FB ghost solos, but some others. When I get a hack in the top room at the back of the map, no matter what I try I can't get the enemy to kite away from the hack circle. I dance around in the LZ as long as I can, but when I go back to the hack, there are three or four enemies waiting.

Any suggestions? I've tried not killing anything. Or is this just the luck of the draw?

At least on Platinum, the only enemies that don't always converge on your position during objectives are Rocket Troopers, Engineers, Centurians, Collector Troopers/Captains and occasionally Phantoms. Those enemies aren't usually that difficult to deal with barring some random BS (and assuming you're confident dealing with Phantoms), so you just have to lure the others as far away as possible and then kill any remaining enemies when you return to the objective.

Or you could always just cheese the hack instead....... :P

Phantoms should be fun with their 90% DR.

It's 75% DR if they're moving. Maybe they get more during their cartwheels.

Atlasses camp, too, on occasion. That truly sucks.

They don't seem to camp intentionally, it's more like the driver's satnav goes haywire and they get a little lost.

I feel like the person who made the variables for the phantoms probably had too much free time with them.

Cerberus will do the same thing on Giant.

I can't link my silly little video of it, though, because YooToob is blocked by the wifi that I'm using. :l

Nuke them from orbit...it's the only way to be sure.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...no time for aerial bombardment  -_-

Marauders too, in my experience (I had them camping the hack in several occasions). Atlases don't camp intentionally, but their AI is so dumb that sometimes they don't even notice that you're shooting them in the back.

About the OP's question, I always cheese my hacks when I can. If I can't, I try to attract the big bosses in the other side of the map and kill the sub-bosses / mooks camping in the circle.

I tried searching or it, but the search function and I don't get along too well, even when searching my own stuff! :P

I usually shoot at them a few times. It either gets them moving or they die. Both are acceptable outcomes...

I'd say Scions kinda camp too, they move very slowly and take forever to kite, also snip you across the map.

Stay away from hack for longer first time you're kiting them, after that they usually camp somewhere else. Frankly, I don't even pay attention if there is a marauder or ten in the hack zone, just leave them minding their own business if possible.

Cheese all the hax I say
