I've been playing DAO Ultimate Edition for a week now with no problems.Until after the Landsmeet when Alistair comes thru 

the door after my HF Noble announced that he will be king with her at his side to speak to her about what she said. 

The door opens-I hear his footsteps,but he's invisible & the dialogue he would have had with her doesn't happen. 

When I go to pick my party he is still invisible.I can't pick him at all. He is still invisible when I have to go talk to him for the dark ritual,which means I can't talk to him. 

There's an empty space where he usually stands. My computer just recently upgraded itself to Win 8.1.

Is that the problem?

Has anyone ever heard of this problem? My game is a digital download from Origin. 

Please let me know if you know of a way to get him back & keep it from happening again. Thank you

The reason I added these on the first play through is because I wanted my PC to get her wedding. I have played DAO on my XBOX 360 about 15 times & have been wanting my PC to get her wedding. 

Do you think removing all mods would bring Alistair back & keep him (or anyone else) from becoming inaccessible?

 

I have cleared my temp files from computer. If anyone has a solution,please let me know. All suggestions will be appreciated.

Skip the Fade typically makes my games buggy. I don't know if it's what is causing yours to act up, but I have had Alistair vanish while it is active at the same spot as yours.

I typically only install it right before the sloth demon and then uninstall it after the Fade as soon as I remember to.

That generally solves the problem.

See.. I have never had a problem with skip-the-fade. This also could be from extra dog slot, but others have never had problems with it either. I would load a save right before the landsmeet and try it again. I would also disable the dance party if it is not working. Let us know...

Thank you for the suggestions. The problem has been resolved. My warden is a Ranger,and one of her summoned critters and the dog were entering the Landsmeet with her. I removed the critter,and blew the whistle to remove my dog,and it worked! She has finished her battle,and married her love.

One of the suggestions I received was that I should start uninstalling my mods to see if that may have been the problem. I did,and when I found out that it wasn't any of the mods I re installed them & activated them. When I tried to load a save on my new character,the message read cannot load save until these mods (and it listed the ones I had reinstalled) have been loaded,only option was Force Load. So I did.

Now whiten teeth,and DahliLlynn's Sleep Until Dawn are not working. So now I don't know how to solve this problem. Y'all had such good suggestions with my other problem,can you help me with this one,please?

I did have this happen with the DLC when I reinstalled DAO. (having to forceload a save even thought the DLC was all installed, the game did not think it was).

 

Disable sleep until dawn. No need to uninstall it (just uncheck it under "installed content"). Load a save NOT in the morning camp from sleep until dawn.. if you try to load a save from the morning camp without it installed, the load will fail... Make a new save without it enabled. Close the game all the way out (not just to main menu). Relaunch the game, enable sleep until dawn and load that save.

 

As far a whiter teeth, that is an override erf file and there is no reason it should not be working if you have it in packages/core/override

I found a gem. Revert back to this driver 340.52-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql

It's supposed to fix all the graphical glitches of DA:O and DA2.
