Hi,

I've been looking for Blackwall for a very long time, but I can't seem to find him.

I'm currently level 14 and i'm doing Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts quest. I've been to the Hinterlands to find him (i've read everything on how to find him there) but he never showed.

Did I lost the chance to get him into the Inquisition ?

I don't know what I can do to find and invite him. Anyone know what happened ?

Thanks !

"Blackwall You can recruit Blackwall after The Lone Warden quest. You get that quest after you go to Val Royeaux and talk to the Templars. Go to the Hinterlands and do the quest and tell him you want him to join you. Blackwall is a warrior and starts off with a sword and shield."

I'm not sure you lost the chance 'cause I recruited him as soon as it was available.

"The Lone Warden is automatically triggered as The Threat Remains is resolved. You are to look for a man named Blackwall in the Hinterlands. Travel there, specifically to the Upper Lake camp. The search area for Blackwall is just southwest of the camp.

Blackwall can be found on the west side of the lake; you'll need to go around since your character apparently doesn't know how to swim. Once you're there, you'll find him addressing some peasants. Talk to him, and you'll trigger an easy fight. Afterward, you can choose to bring Blackwall into your party. Doing so will also unlock a new mission at the war table. Either way, the quest will resolve."

Try this, if you don't find him could be a bug Idk

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. I've done all the quests in Val Royeaux and i've completed The Lone Warden quest too. I've been to the little house next to the lake in Hinterlands, west side of the lake, and nothing...

I might report it as a bug then.

Thank you.

Are you sure you didn't talk to him and maybe choose not ask him to join the inquisition?
You can only complete The Lone Warden after you talk to him.

I think I read somewhere that you can't recruit people after you've passed a certain point in the main story quests. Could be wrong though. I usually recruit my companions as soon as I can.

I could be totally wrong in this being important, but have you been speaking to Leliana?

I recall her mentioning the wardens at some stage.

This is done so automatically after you return to Haven from Val Royeaux.

It might be that you've progressed too far in the Story, and he's moved on etc.
