DA:O 9/10
- Slightly slow, but interesting and tactical combat.
- Fairly generic 'save the world story", but very well implemented with each of the sub-zones containing their own fully contained story arcs.
- Interesting characters with excellent depth and voice acting.
- Choices which made substantive changes to events within the game.
- No artificial restrictions on gear beyond the strength needed to use it, which actually makes sense.
- Excellent UI and toolbars
- Modding accessability
DA 2 6/10
- The story was ok, and the mage/templar buildup was neat.
- Blood mage...blood mages everywhere. Ugh.
- The graphics were a joke.
- The same ****** maps over and over...and over...and over.
- Relatively boring button mash combat.
- Wave combat and enemies falling from the sky.
- But the companions were solid and well voiced.
DA:I 5/10
- Same 'save the world' trope, but boring and badly done
- No real build up to the finale
- Too many deus ex machina moments just to drag the plot along from one forgettable mini-boss to another.
- Many of the DA:Keep choices don't seem to have any effect on anything (Oghren anyone?)
- Shitty repetetive combat that was a terrible mix of DA2 button mashing with the pacing of DAO.
- Endless respawns of meaningless goons infesting maps which kills any sense of exploration or actual progress until the zone is completely cleared.
- Bad side questing designs which give me flashbacks to MMO grinding.
- Really well done characters, with fantastic voice acting.
- Pretty world and interesting environments.
- Very nice graphics
- Terrible UI, PC controls are bad
- Only one choice which actually seems to have any effect on the game (whether the mages or templars are chosen to work with the inquisition)
This is ignoring any bugs and technical problems each game has or had.
