yeah doesnt lore say they are rare to happen.I wouldn't bother arguing with them. Templar supporters are so up their butts about the idea that if mages have even a bit of freedom or are treated like people, abominations will be rampant or another tevinter will occur. The game disproves this since we don't see ANY abominations among the free mages even though people claim this will occur. Funny how the game makes it seem like all the paranoia of pro-templars is proven to be nothing.

Not until developer comments say that they're only hearsay and rumor. And I doubt it, because unlike Origins' epilogues, these were created in the knowledge that the series would continue.
this, plus the fact that the devs indicated they'd like to make the next games in the Northern countries indicate we will be in the North where our choices don't affect places like Tevinter.

Most likely no. If anything, our choices will barely be mentioned since we will likely be in another country.

Anitvia, Nevarra, Rivian*, and the Anderfels are all nations that are part of the southern Chantry. The actions relating to the mages/templars and whom the divine is would be important here.
That said I highly suspect we are going to tevinter first. Where those events while being referenced will have less impact then if we were not in those kingdoms.

There is no way I'll ever side with the templars after the atrocracies they have committed. And I certainly don't blame Fiona either for accepting the help of tevinter after reading the journal in that tavern in Redcliffe where the annulment is described.
If i remember correctly, that tavern required a perk to open the door that i do not have. How is it the rite of annulment? (apart from what we know, that it is killing all the mages)
Also, i find better to make mages free, so that if someone becomes an abomination, he/she isn't surrounded by mages who can easily be turned (avoiding what happened in the circle tower) so instead of having 40 abominations, you have 8. (of course there would be an form of secret police who monitor mages, and who would act quickly if needed)

Right, the mage rebellion would never even talk to Tevinter. What a preposterous notion.
Mages need to be trusted. Invite them into your home, what are the chances of you ending up sold into servitude?
Damn those Templars and their paranoia.
Face it, if even Alistair of all people had enough of mages and forces them to leave, you know they are the bleeding problem.

Really? That's interesting. I thought Samson kinda sucked as a villain. I mean, he provided great characterization for Cullen, but Samson was just kinda meh.

Typical templar supporter, believing that mages will immediately enslave everyone if they are treated like people. You also forget how Fiona first tried to ally with the Inquisition but Alexius used time magic to arrive immediately after the breach and offered an alliance, plus having venatori infiltrate the mages to make the alliance seem more appetizing. Thus, if things were normal, Fiona would have gone to the Inquisition first, not Tevinter. Funny how you have no problem with Lucius willing to make a deal with the Elder One to turn the Templars into Red Templars but when it happens to the mages, they are evil incarnate. Typical hypocrisy.
Also, you get a letter from Alistair on the war table where he admits he overreacted. Try harder next time.

For the mage supporters. should mages have to work or pay for their free food, free hot baths, free education, free clothes, free warm beds? or should it just be given to them as a right of being a mage

I don't think that they need to work for the necessities. A lot is already asked of them. And I think if a mage wanted to lay about and study all day, that's cool too.
Although I think they should be granted more things and privileges and freedoms if they do actually work or offer their service somewhere.

I liked both quests, officially I prefer siding with the Templars as equals.
Although for my canon playthrough I'll conscript the mages, seeing as how they just love being "oppressed". ![]()

Tevinter made an offer, venatori spies claimed it as benefitial and Fiona accepted it.
What exactly is só out of the ordinary about this that it excuses her actions when she could havê simply said "No"?
The undeniable fact is that not only was the mage leadership willing to ally with Tevinter, they did so in direct betrayal of the one kingdom willing to shelter them.
I think it is obvious just on whose side the mages are.
Of course Lucius'actions were madness. It is why the Inquisitor personally leads the members of the Order into violent rebellion against their corrupt superiors. Where were the mages protesting Fiona's decision?
There was Connor but that was it. The people of Redcliff being sold, Tranquil being decapited and the mages just going along with.

Just to add, I'd probably do the same for Templars. It's not like their life is easy either. You're signed up to guard mages, and the payoff is lyrium addiction and eventually becoming mentally retarded.

Why do you keep asking this when I answered it already? They'll work for the College just like they worked for the Circle before. Though the Chantry's new charity focus under Leliana would be wisely spent in part on ensuring that you don't get any homeless mages, which sounds like a bad idea.
