Good riddance. The Templars are cool when they're actually doing what they're supposed to, but I've had enough of anti-mage paranoia. They're worse than the rabble-rousers.

worse than us... impossible lol

Best way of viewing the epilogues are as things that could be not things that will be.
I am curious if the pro mages would like a mageocracy? Perhaps if say it didn't have blood magic and slavery

**** mageocracies vints or otherwise its basically no matter how good a person is they are either a "slave" to the system or a mage that believes in supremecy and just causes more issues

Nah, I really don't think being a mage effects how wise or strong in convictions you are, how qualified you are to rule based on upbringing, nor does it change who your parents were in the case of primogeniture.

I think the ideal situation would be one in which your status as a Mage is kept mostly irrelevant. You can be a mage, or not. What matters is the rest of the system that's already in place, be it an inherited monarchy or being voted for or whatever.

Anit-mage paranoia isn't going to go away just because you leave Southern Thedas. And it's not like Dorian paints the prettiest picture of Tevinter anyway.

Eh, it won't be as pronounced. And it doesn't have to be a pretty picture. Just a different one.

Calpernia will survive and quite possibly find redemption in another way if you side with the mages.

She is not present at all in the game, and she was a Venatori.... So.... Yeah... She is dead if you side with the mages.

She wasn't at Redcliffe... and given that she's presumably Alexius' boss, her presence there would have made a clear difference.

Good Lord, y'all. Is Calpernia that good of a character? I just fired up that quest line last night, so I haven't seen much of her yet.

Not gonna spoil it for you (I'm not that far along on my Qunari/Templar run), but she's surprisingly awesome.

She is STILL a Venatori, and she has no presence at all if you side with the mages. She. Is. DEAD.

Good character? No. Not bad either.

She's mentioned in a note somewhere. In the Hissing Wastes, I think.

the mages are fighting a war of freedom, to make sure they are respected as equals, and bring magical equality... i got the wrong.

JOIN THE MAGES AND FIGHT FOR THE IMPERIUM. AS A MAGE YOU GET TO OWN PEOPLE PROPERTY AFTER YOU SERVE THE IMPERIUM AS A INDENTURED SERVENT FOR TEN YEARS~

pretty much

I just wanted to know if others liked a magocracy as a form of government? Same about debating the merits of any othe form of government :P

But I am happy we are going north. Tevinter is cool and has a rather different picture and stories to tell. That makes me happy. :)

True, there is a chance for that aswell. We may never know. The important part is still the redemption itself however.

she seems more human in her quest line, but I have not done the entire thing myself.

There's no reason to assume that a magocracy (without slavery) would be worse than any other form of government that currently exists in Thedas...but they are all pretty bad and someones bloodline also seems to be important for all of them, so that's not saying a great deal.

"A father's letter" just killed me.

It's a Red Templar(whose wife is dead) writing to his daugther (who is staying with her aunt) how he is sorry to be away but the country is sick and they will make it safe again with the special medicine to make them strong that they have been given.

Yep, just...****.

Was that the letter in the Storm Coast RT Stronghold?

Yeah, that one hit me pretty hard too.

Actually a lovely example of the banality of evil, showing the interplay of ordinary humanity and murderous bigotry.

Yeah, it really brings home that the Red Templars are just people. Most of them were probably only trying to make things right again.

Damned Corypheus.

You know you show more bigotry than almost any Templar I have ever seen in game. Even Meredith is less of one than you are.

She doesn't deal in maybes. Only cold hard hyperbole.
