OK, so it's 1/26 and the game refuses to unlock. Says that it's not the release date. O_o

Canada/US release is... ummm... today?

digital download? which retailer? steam and impulse are giving the time at 1pm EST today ...

so, you're not alone, but i don't quite know how to fix it either... anyone got any ideas?

If your not from the US then u cant play until the 29th... its totally fubar that there is a different release date for US and EU.

i'm in usa, and it says i can't. i got it digitally from xfire
its already installed, just when i try to run the game from config menu, it starts the release date check, and says its not released yet...

i just heard that it'll be unlocked around noon pst, four pm if you got the deluxe. i'm not saying it's reliable or anything, just that's what i've heard. which is weird, because there are people playing it now and they can't all be pirates...

just for reference, it is 1:52 am here in california right now, so it should technically be released

edit: there is another thread (http://social.biowar...06/index/767097) in which the general consensus is that it's around 10 am pst. o well. just have to wait it out i guess.

I bought my collectors edition from EA, when are we supposed to get our codes in the email?

I got my codes from gamestop. I must say after play 4hours 40 minutes I can be more happy and am going to have to take a personal day at work tomarrow

Greetings, you know anything about when I'll be able to play? I'm in Brazil, already downloaded the game and stuck in the release date check. EA store does not say anything about 10pm or anything about time, they're that good.

So much for being the "first to play" like EA advertises. Worse: in my receipt, it says I bought it from Electronic Arts Swiss Sàrl, which is in Europe, even if I bought it from Argentina. So now I don't know if I'll have to wait for a EU release date. EA seems to redirect my purchases to that branch automatically, without letting me know it's being done so. Oh well...

I mean come on... i REAALLLYY hope its working TODAY and not 29th like someone said. If i can't play a game i preordered from EA itself when its released im sure as hell never buying anything from them again..

Yea, was hoping to play it when i got up but nope the bloody check didnt want to work. Plus like others said no code yet for our pre order items. Because email i got when after i had bought it said i can download the Cerb network and other gear yesterday 1/25 but nothing has come up and its 26th alrdy! Just want to play my game! XD

Btw im in US!

I'm in Brazil too, with the same issue. The codes from Cerberus and extra stuff worked fine, I've already downloaded and intalled everything, but release date check is still failing. Is this check based in IP address or in the "CD key" of the game? My codes came from an "EA Swiss something", so I caould be stuck with an EU cd-key....

actually after reading that people had problems with DLC i was really happy that i managed to get the codes and all the items downloaded right away...



then i only had one thing left to do, start the game.. and that failed.

So i dl'd everything, but the effin release date check fails.



And like someone from argentina said, when he purchased it through EA store it came through swiss, same here... so that pretty much means if anyone from america buys the game through EA's OWN STORE, he has to wait a few extra days.. SERIOUS?

Thats kind of funny. People who pirated the game are already playing and enjoying it, while we who bought it will have to wait possibly until the 29th...

Friday is the typical European release date - that's just how it is with the majority of video games released there.

But the problem is, if you bought it from the EA's own store it automaticly came through Switzerland, regardless where you live.

And this wasnt even told anywhere until i got the confirmation email from EA...

Seems like a waste of money and effort to try to preorder it and get it directly from EA considering they keep effin these things up.
