it's 01/27/2010 here in north America and i still can't get pass the release date check. I was under the belief that I would be able to play on the 26th and I feel as the other party has breached it's agreement on the release date. Companies like fed-ex/ups make things right when they are unable to met their delivery date. Let us see how this will be handled.

Where did you buy the game from? Also, are you getting the same error as the png posted earlier?

Hello!! Bioware! We need a post! What's wrong with this thing? When, if ever, are we going to be able to play it? Is EA working on it? Are you?

Anyone know how to go about getting a refund from an EA download?

I would think most people who value their WAN security probably wouldn't do that. Why would you want us to do that?

I'm in the US and having the same problem, but can't post my IP (I'm at my work computer, not my home). Out of curiousity, what difference would the IP addess make?

Well, I'm relatively certain that EA/Bioware would use the IP address mapping to determine (during release date check procedure) what region a registrant is in.

But why the poster above us would want us to list our IP's is kinda beyond me, unless he/she is compiling a list of just how many that SHOULD be able to play actually can't thanks to EA/Biowares failure here.

The IP address is how the country you are in is determined. That helps determine if you may be proxied or some other local.

If you go to http://www.maxmind.c...pp/locate_my_ip, and post the results from that site it will help resolve these problems.

Again, it's not for a regular user on here to "help resolve" these issues at the networking level. If a Bioware or EA employee asked us for our IP's in a secure type of transaction that would be different, but just posting our WAN addresses is simply asking for trouble/potentially hacking attempts unnecessarily.

That's fantastic for you.

Now Bioware/EA how about us LEGAL purchasers of the software who DONT use cracks or pirated copies like the above get some F___ing service huh???????

Fair enough - please report that info directly to me via private message. (click my username and then "send message")

Great, so why use a crack then? The point is still valid, anyone of us who don't use a crack and still purchased legally should have the right that purchasing power gives us, to have a PRODUCT after purchase.

Unless your forum name has a big "Bioware" underneath it, nobody should be PMing you with their IP addresses. But I'm happy to tell the world that my IP address locates me in Pennsylvania.

omg

Only posted to see if other LEGIT EA buyers can also enter the game WITHOUT the cracked exe, if u re-read my first post you will see that I state that im now using the ORIGINAL exe, not the cracked one. Calm down boy.

As u i have been pretty angry at EA because all of this, and its sad to have to use a crack to play a game I have paid for (and not a little) the date im told.

Most people have dynamic IP addresses anyways.

If you don't post your IP address then nobody can tell if you are actually just someone complaining who is in a region set for the second release date or if you are actually in the US and are having a legit problem.

how about, use this: http://www.maxmind.c...pp/locate_my_ip and then use paint to obscure your IP address. that wont help as much but at least prove you are having a problem.

Why are you so skeptical? And why do you keep trying to "help" when you clearly aren't equipped to do so?

Oh please. Obviously with the large amount of people saying they have a problem, this is a LEGIT problem. This is not a group of europeans complaining about a release date. So get over your, "nobody can tell if you are actually just someone complaining who is in a region set for the second release date or if you are actually in the US and are having a legit problem." BS.

Ea you need to at least post a one sentence reply saying you are AWARE of this problem and working on it, is it that hard?

Theres a hell of a lot of people from outside the US complaining when everyone knows that the non-US release date wasn't yesterday.

This is a tech support forum not a complain and ignore help forum.

Want the closest thing to proof outside of giving a potential hacker my IP address? I live in Florida, and this is obviously a real legit problem.

I am trying to help - We are aware of the issues. I am in Quality Assurance and I am attempting to help. If people want help, please send me a message with the results from http://www.maxmind.c...pp/locate_my_ip, this will be a start to isolate that problem.

There are different release times for different regions - preloading the software like this allows customers to install the product and play the game at the release point rather then having to spend the time downloading and installing at that time.

Thanks
