i am having the same problem as a few others here - bought from ea, live in the US (so well over the release date) but unable to pass the release date check. i have turned off all firewalls, reinstalled, redownloaded, tried updating the game with the CE DLC before running, ran from binaries to skip the launcher, made sure to open/forward ports... still not working.

My game is now unlocked (Sweden), but I still havnt got my Cerberus Network code, or my bonus codes. bought the game from EAstore Sweden. I've tried mailing them but they dont respond

Enjoy pc gaming while you can folks because stuff like this makes me believe games just won't be developed much longer, and if they are who wants to go through this. Really blows. If I'm gonna start having to do all kinds of stuff just to get a damn game running i'd rather have to download torrent, extract files, then copy the cracks where needed. Thats not that hard and you save yourself cash, plus if it doesn't work you don't feel like you've been ripped off. I hope they get this deal squared away quick cause I know it will be a hell of a game on that I really didn't mind spending money on. Well atleast now we know they have acknowledged the problem and are working on it. Since it didn't work as advertised I guess all we can do is hope they get it goin soon. I'm sure we won't be getting any consolation prizes but hey i'm up for anything if you guys wanna hand out stuff to loyal customers that are a little uptight right now.

Ok so this married guy is walking along the beach and finds a lamp.



He rubs the lamp and a genie pops out and says "Master, you can have any 3 wishes you want, but be aware, that anything I grant you, your wife will get double".



The guys acknowledges this and says "Ok Genie, for my first wish, I want a 5000 square foot home right on the beach."



Genie says "Done! But your wife got a 10,000 square foot home on the beach"



The married guy says "Genie for my second wish, I would like 10 million dollars"



Genie says "Done! But your wife got 20 million dollars"



The guy stands there for what seemed like an eternity and the genie said "Master, you still have one wish left....."

Same problem here. Left coast US, downloaded from Gamestop.

EDIT: If you need info or need me to try something (save downloading 3rd party vpn apps) I'm game.

The Russian Federation is already unlocked but certain surronding regions are not

It might be more prudent to just do a search for EAAccessInstaller.exe and then run the commandline on it accordingly

Just a hint: Check out if your IP Address is really associated to the US (or general to the country you are living in). I know that there is a very small amout of IP's for which it is not possible to determine the country. You can do this for example here:

For those that got the product through D2D etc. please try:



1) Open a command prompt

2) Go to ME 2 directory

3) Go to software subdirectory

4) Type the following command:



EAAccessInstaller.exe /s/dir "C:\\\\\\\\Program Files\\\\\\\\Electronic Arts\\\\\\\\Mass Effect 2\\\\\\\\binaries"



(With the appropriate path to the ME2 binary directory).
