It might be more prudent to just do a search for EAAccessInstaller.exe and then run the commandline on it accordingly

At least in XP it will only run as a background operation . From what I can tell (without paying a whole lot of attention) It grabs the EACoreServer and related files, dlls etc and unpacks it into the directory specified in the /dir param.

Hello everyone, we have a theory for some of these issues. I'll be offline tracking this down but I hope to have more information soon.

The problem is simple really, EA's release checker is broken, the game is out, release an update patch that no longer requires the use of the stupid date checker to play the game

encouraging progress -- and I hope the bioware people not in the forum notice how much the heat level immediately dropped when Biermania and Gamble started to try to help.

Amazing how easy gamers are ... whisper "... a solution is coming someday..." and we will follow you anywhere :-)

From my experience of working with large distributed systems and also with MMO Customer Services it is greatly better to have one post saying "we're looking into the issue" or "we're aware of the problem and doing what we can to handle it" than to have thousands of posts asking about the same issue with the added rage of peer to peer prodding that most forums have.

A simple information that they know their playerbase has this or that issue and that what can be done is being done is what everyone is asking after you filter all the emotion out of most of the posts.

Actually we shouldn't use GMT anymore as it is Greenwich centric and not correspondent to the Universal Time, UTC is Universal Time Coordinated, an upgrade to GMT that's based on International Atomic Time with leap seconds added...

But since we're not checking time to the fractions of a second we can assert that GMT is the same as UTC... The UTC started to replace GMT as early as 1972...

so yeah, bump ;)
